Saw that on reddit. I lol'd.
Sean Connery is the best James Bond, period, and that image from Thunderball is a perfect example of what the new Bond movies lack. In my opinion, of course. Has anyone seen Skyfall? Has Craig acquired sly womanizing skills since the last movie or is he still all Jason Bourne?
Er, do you know anything about the 007 series besides the movies?
Because if you don't, I can see why you think Connery is the best, but otherwise, I don't get it.
Casino Royale was a reboot to 007, in many ways. I don't know whether it was Eon or whoever is executing the Fleming estate now, but when they hired Daniel Craig, they decided that they wanted a more realistic and true-to-the-books Bond. Casino Royale was an obvious reboot and a look into what made 007 into the ladykiller he is later in the series.
Quantum was about him getting revenge and becoming more of a cold-hearted bastard, and Skyfall is really the first movie that he may potentially be the Bond we all grew up watching.
Can you tell that I like how Craig portrays Bond because he's not a robot (like Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, et al)? I liked Connery, but out of the six he did, only four were any good (and only Thunderball and Goldfinger were actually excellent).
