So we downed 10 man Beasts and the new boss, Jaraxxus, but after going in and one shotting mimiron and General, we couldn't even get to phase 2 of Yogg.

What is so ******* HARD ABOUT STAYING OUT OF THE GERD DAMN CLOUDS!?!?!?!?!?!?!

How was the new boss? We will be trying it tonight on 10 or 25 depending on numbers.

Quick question for the bored druids as a boomkin how much haste is to much?

I think it is a rhetorical question.

Not 100% but I know 300ish gets Wrath to a 1 second cast. Beyond that it becomes a matter of pushing haste at the expense of sacrificing other stats because I bet Arex would love a 1 second cast Starfire as well.

Well, actually its 400 haste that will push wrath to a 1 second gcd/cast time with a natures grace proc.

So haste will weigh higher until 400, then past 400 the weight of it drops dramatically.

So basically I shoot for anywhere between 390-410. From then on its just crit and spell power.

The soft haste cap is the point at which your GCD hits the 1 second minimum with Nature's Grace up. With Improved Moonkin Form, Celestial Focus, and Wrath of Air Totem, this occurs at 401 haste rating. Missing WoA, it's 585.

He just phrased it so perfectly.

If you have more than 401/585 haste, gear with SP > Crit > Haste.

If you have less, gear Haste > SP > Crit (yes, Haste IS worth more DPS per point than Spellpower).

EDIT: Damn it, Arex.

Gutler, log out in your balance gear sometime and I'll take a look to see what you can do to get rid of some haste.

Very very very easy! It is like having 10 Ulduar geared people go and do VH :) I was OT and didn't really have much to do so maybe it was just me....

Easy for everyone except the healers who have to work pretty hard. As DPS in 25 this fight was cake. As a tree in 10 man, wow - things get really hectic. A very enjoyable fight.

The beasts fight is annoying at times. I got fireballed 3 times in a row by the first guy and died in 10man. I was the only druid so no Brez. Luckily we had 2 other healers, but man that is such a long fight when you are a spectator and some of the DPS die to lack of heals.

I almost got to DPS last night, but then someone in the guild decided to throw a ******** that he wasn't invited to Ulduar, so I got shafted to healing again.

I'm getting rather sick of doing everything I can to be damn good at DPS, but the people who can't break 3k act as though it's not their issue when they're in full sets of purples. We have a shaman in the guild who can probably break 4k easy, and he always ends of healing too.

I don't really know if I want to switch my healing spec to feral and just tell them to deal, but I really don't know how much more of this I can take. It's irritating that the hunter who can barely pull over 2k DPS in a set of full purples thinks everything will be fixed when he gets a new weapon. I was running a heroic on my hunter (look up Nanner on Exodar if you want to see how terrible my gear is), and I was coming within a couple hundred DPS of him on boss fights. That's beyond unacceptable to me.

It's downright infuriating that five of us (healers and tanks) have to constantly hold the group together because our DPS can't kill things fast enough. I'll miss healing, but to be quite honest, I'm not sure I'll miss it enough.

I want to sometimes too... but then I imagine the mage, who does nothing but spam arcane missiles, trying to decide between three different spells when healing on his pally alt, and I get scared back into tree form.

I feel your pain. We barely beat XT's enrage timer the other night, took some 9 1/2 minutes with our MT topping the damage meters. We have 5 raiders with high attendance, 2 tanks and 3 heals, the rest barely show up.

I know this! I spent most of BC healing regularly against my preference. The only real solution is to recruit more competition for DPS slots to force people to lift their game. Failing that, you need to start looking at logs, finding out what they are doing wrong, telling them and point them to the relevant EJ guide (the Theorycrafting Think Tank is particularly good for many classes/specs as well as the class forums.

Feral droods that don't use CC in BGs should be shot.

That is all.

Where can I sign up for the mandatory last cigarette?

I rarely use CC in Battlegrounds, mostly because I'm healing in Battlegrounds and I'm so goddam uber at what I do that people don't die. When people die, it's because a) they're not geared for that bracket (level 71s, shudder) or b) they were zerged. In either case, CC helps very little if at all.

The GCD and cast time of Cyclone could be used on a Regrowth. And Hibernating pets? Ya right.

I did, however, Hibernate a Druid who kept coming at me in Cat form while I was defending a node in Arathi Basin. He was level 78 and I was 75 at the time, wearing a mix of cloth and leather items, giving me a total of 6000 armor or so. He'd basically open up with Pounce which I'd trinket out of. I'd hit Barkskin and heal through his damage until Barkskin faded and he stunned me again. Then I'd be dead. Managed to get off a Nature's Grasp followed by a Hibernate, but then I died to bleed crits due to lack of healing myself.

By the time I resurrected, the capped the flag and stealthed away. I ran around trying to find him, not wanting to expose myself to a flag cap without my trinket (I'd be a free kill basically). He got the flag and then my team mates arrives, lead by the master moron Darkelf who proceeded to tell me that I was a fat f*ck for not capping the flag, despite me doing my best to tell him that there was a high level Druid stealthed nearby.

They capped the flag and all of them ran off to fight at the Farm, leaving me alone with the Druid again.

Ravage crit, Mangle crit, Ferocious Bite. Dead Mazra.

But I did get to report Darkelf for cussing at me. And I got him to admit he was 12 years old. Smiley: lol Apparently he hadn't heard about the cussing policy. He's suspended now.

Maz if you're healing as feral you get a cookie.

Same idea. Feral BG droods need to use their droodness.

I CC and nuke. You heal and nuke.

So I lied you have 2 options to avoid getting shot.

(Help heal || help CC) and DPS.

The brackets make sense if you are/were a CS major.

The best item slots you could look to drop haste would be your rings, necklace, boots and belt.

Just check out the new 5 man non heroic/heroic for some drops out of there that would be useful.

If you can afford/swing it. You could also pick up engineering instead of LW and you'll get a 27 spell power cloak enchant over the haste enchant as well. This is the biggest reason why I'm going engineering, that... And haste gloves homgz haste gloves!

Forgot to mention i got the belt from razorscale last night so that slot is covered Smiley: grin (was in ulduar till about 2 am and didnt have time to put a buckle and gem in it before i went to bed, and i dont equip stuff till its fully chanted and gemmed). Ive leveled engineering to 450 on 2 toons and dont think i could ever do it again and i like the SP lining for my bracers Smiley: grin and i do have most of the ulduar patterns which can make me some decent gold.
