Harvey obviously had mental issues - way too ambitious to be healthy - but I meant the burns. If half your head has been scorched off, you don't run around town like you don't give a damn. And if your eyelid burns off in a fire then your eyeball isn't intact underneath. Eyeball contains liquid. Liquid heats up. Eyeball goes pop.

This <--- Not possible.

I liked Aaron's portrayal of Harvey's personality split, though. I just have no idea why Nolan signed off on the makeup job. They could have done something much more subtle and it still would have given the "Two-Face" impression. This was like half man, half skeleton.

No no, real mental problems. Ambition isn't a mental disorder. Smiley: motz Comicwise, he was going to a psychiatrist on the downlow for his multiple personality disorder. But yes, makeup was overboard and I agree.

I was sleeping when that sh*t got posted, so I had time to read Theo's spoiler. Of course, I was expecting him to lie about it, so I clicked the first link and almost shat bricks when I saw the leaf and something pink and semi-transparent on it. It was just a froggy, luckily.

Answers: Theo wasn't lying about which link it was. There was only one spider pic, and I made it especially horrifying (and I thought awesome. Wolf spider I think?)

Anywho, after Theo spoiled it I went back and edited my post because I luckily already had an edit tag in there. I just hoped that nobody would notice the subtly different links from my post and theo's quote.

But yeah, digg just has the worst luck ever. :U

Did you fish up a chunk of meteorite? That would've been pretty sweet. Until we find out that the meteors carried an unknown alien virus that infects people and turns them into zombies when they die.

I have no preference but I'm not really interested in drummers as long as they don't stand out in a negative way *cough*St Anger*cough*. Doesn't help that I'm no more than superficially familiar with both Blink 182 and Dream Theater though.

Now if you had said Steve Hackett or David Gilmour, then we could talk.

While they're very different from Travis Barker and Mike Portnoy, I'm a huge fan of Lyle Cooper from The Faceless and Flo Mounier from Cryptopsy. Lyle Cooper has one of the most hilarious faces ever while he's drumming. Out of Travis Barker and Mike Portnoy, I have to say Mike Portnoy, because he's technically better, and I'm not particularly fond of either of their styles.

Also, Aeth, are you a fan of Gojira? 'cause if so, you should check out Trepalium if you haven't before. They're french as well.

Why? I personally think that Steve Hackett is the better guitarist, I find Gilmour's work to often be a bit too similar while Hackett can stay recognizable while being much more variable in style and mood. But if we're looking at musicianship as a whole, I have to give it to Gilmour because his songs have meaning and Hackett is a terrible lyricist (really, he just sings seemingly random words and partial sentences that have no relation to each other).

See this song:

The guitars are brilliant, the lyrics are.. euh.. well.. "Arms hanging over the sparkling water. Champagne on ice, a coconut surprise." I mean, really?

I haven't thought about why really. I just prefer Gilmour because of the sounds, and when I listen to his playing I get the feelingthat it's full of emotion. Hackett just doesn't do it for me.

Yeah, I can see why you feel that way, I think Steve Hackett needs a good lyricist next to him. If you listen to the early Genesis albums it's just pure genius. Then again that's Steve Hackett, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and of course Phil Collins. There's enough poppy sounds in there to keep Hackett and Gabriel grounded (whereas Yes to a certain degree and King Crimson to a ridiculous degree have floated away from reality) but enough prog to keep an amazing depth in the music.

I genuinely enjoy the later Genesis works without Gabriels and Hackett but it pales in comparison to the stuff with them in there. It's really rather sad that Peter Gabriel is successful enough on his own that he never wants/wanted to do Genesis again and that Phil Collins hearing is so deteriorated that it's beyond unlikely to ever happen again.

Edit: I have now had more different Dutch than Belgian beers. 103 vs 101 to be exact. This is a first for me, so yay Dutch beer!
