Axe and Sword specs have a fixed 5% hit chance. Its fair cos eventhough a slower weap procs fewer times it does more dmg when it does. However with Mace spec slower weaps do not get more out of the proc f u get my point, and also Blizzard has not given any fixed %-proc rating. So I guess mace spec scale with weap speed, right? and if so does anybody got any experience on that? Has anyone used a procmeter on mace spec and tried different weapons speeds?

I am curious cos I recently heard that apparantly mace spec does not scale nicely with slower weaps (which sucks as an arms MS warior)

Also, does mace proc of special attacks? I guess it does proc of MS and MS. But can u proc multible targets with cleave, SS and WW? and what about hamstring?

EDIT: another thing: as I have written in another post I am aiming for a DPS/off-tank role in end-game. Is mace spec totally useless in that regads and are most mob immune to stun by then? (if so I will stay sword specced I guess)

Mace Spec is 2 PPM, which means that the game calculates it out so that you should receive two procs per minute using just autoattacks. With a 3.8 speed weapon this means that your 'proc' chance per swing is around 12.5%. Where this really becomes rather handy is that every time you use an attack that requires your weapon (Hamstring, Mortal Strike, Cleave, Whirlwind, Sweeping Strikes, Sunder Armor, Revenge, Disarm, Mocking Blow all come to mind) it uses that 12.5% chance to proc the stun.

Mace Stun is fine in 5-mans, useless in raids.

IMO, where Mace Specialization really shines is PvP. If you're really only concered about PvE, especially where raiding is concerned, then I would stay with Sword Specialization or Poleaxe Specialization.

Tx for the imput. Nice procrate imo...

I want to focus both on PVP and PVE... but as I am going to be a DPS warrior, I think I will stay with my sword spec to justify myself as a true DPS'er.... Would have loved the mace in PVP though...

Btw, does 5% sword proc also proc off everything (special attacks)? I have a proc meter and before the last patch thw sword proc was around 5% all attacks considered. But no it seems to just over 3% which makes me wonder whether blizzard changed the proc so it only procs of normal attacks. Does anyone know?
