I'm lvl 35 lock, and I just want some input on which build will be better for me as I level up, and can build off of.

Affliction imo. [It's generally agreed affliction for levelling]

Except I like this:

Your first build is the closest to what i would use. Howeverm there's a few issues. First of all 5 in Suppresion is too much, 2 is enough, I don't have any and do ok. If anything gets entirely resisted it's usually just an instant cast DoT so who cares. Can it make a difference, yes, but not 5 points, 2 is more than enough.

Second immediate problem I see is you have 1 point in Shadow Embrace, but do not have Soul Siphon. The reason most lock take Shadow Embrace is for the extra Affliction Effect which in turn raises Drain Life through Soul Siphon. Without Soul Siphon there's no real point in Shadow Embrace.

So for th points yu take out of Suppresion you can take Soul Siphon, Grim Reach and possibly Empowered Corruption. After that focus on getting to Dark Pact and iHoT asap, than UA and you have a solid Affliction Build. Spare points can then be spent in Dest to get Shadowburn. Improved Shadow Bolt and Bane is the normal thing to take. Don't forget about Demonic Embrace, and possibly Improved Imp. Imp is great for instances and stuff, I'll be taking it, though many prefer the improved healthstone.
