what about arms???Follow

#1 May 04 2007 at 12:45 PM Rating: Decent
Ok so I'm very new to playing a warrior and i've decided to spec arms. Up to this point (lvl 20) I have had little to no issues with the class whatsoever. Lately I've been reading up in the posts to get a better understanding of the class and suprisingly I have found little about arms specced warriors. Why is that? Damn near everything is about prot VS fury. What about arms specced warriors and tanking? or arms and PvP? It's almost as if arms warriors dont exist within the majority. My question is...Why? What should I expect as i progress down the Arms tree in relation to PvE, PvP, and instances? Bless me with yalls wisdom. Peace, and thanks for any replies.

Arms is good, in pvp arms is a very viable build especially using a slow 2-hander (which you should look for in a weapon). In pve as far as grinding and questing arms is a very good and easy build as well. While a prot warrior is going to out tank you in groups, you can still tank good enough. Sorry for not getting more in depth but the point is that arms is a very good build especially while leveling, all my warriors go arms till 70, and some stay that way.

IMO the reason you dont hear about arms much is because its ot overly complicated

prot takes lots of stats (+def +dodge sta etc) and order of importance is confusing, that and keeping agro on multiple mobs

same with fury, theres a thread about what stats are best +ap +crit +hit going atm, then thers "which one in main hand?" things all the time

wheras with arms all you need is a 2h and +str +agi (aka 'of the tiger') and spam MS with the odd heroic strike rage dump now and then

well thats my take on things

arms FTW!!

Soldier gear is nice for arms. Beast gear is nice for arms.

Don't skimp on sta for pvp, otherwise your wide open to being 3 shotted, as you have zero resistance as a warrior to casters.

AP, Crit, and To Hit are all important for arms (Or any melee class). But do not forget your HP. You can't kill anything if your dead as a warrior.

all valid points. though arms doesn't really start getting fun til you get mortal strike, PvE at level 52 i can tear through mobs in seconds with a nice string of crits, and it gives me the DPS to hold my own in PvP. not being specced prot won't matter much unless your DPS classes are total idiots, just keep hitting your sunder/revenge/tclap, throw in a cleave or ww when you get the chance and definitely sweeping strikes also.

awesome. so far i've been buffing my str, sta, and agi (in that order) which wasn't difficult to figure out based on the role i'm playing as a warrior. thanks for all the feedback it's definitely made an impact. Peace and kick *** while you can.
