So I've been leveling my Pally lately and I'm nearing the point in Blacksmithing where I'll have to decide whether to go Weaponsmithing or Armorsmithing. I'm wondering which one I should go with. Right now I'm Ret specced for levelling, but once I hit 70 I'll probably be joining a raid guild or just be doing small raids with friends, so I'll probably be Holy or Prot specced; although I have had my eye on this hybrid build (It's at the bottom of the page). It seems like Armorsmithing would be the obvious choice if I'm not straight DPSing, but it seems so much more bland. For Weaponsmithing you can choose between axes, swords, and maces, and further between a 1h and a 2h. Armorsmithing on the other hand just seems to have the Bulwark of the Ancient Kings. What have you guys gone with on your blacksmith pallies?

Originally I was an armorsmith and found out that it is ABSOLUTELY useless for anything but a DPS plate wearer.

So I dropped it and now Im a master swordsmith. Going to make myself the fireguard for grinding.

I agree with Texanadian.

Pretty much the only reason to level Blacksmiting at all nowadays is for the BoP Master (insert weapon here)smith requirement weapons.

i went Hammersmith so i wouldn't have to wrestle warriors and hunters for epic weapons. besides, when acquiring high end armor you usually look for complete sets. weapons come one at a time.
