Mumbo Jumbo questions(noob stuff)Follow

I know, I know a dumb question because I should just go get the illusionary rod, but I was wondering if we have any other options around lvl38 for different staffs? Also, should I just keep grinding my way up and then worry about gear when I start hitting 58 so I can go into outlands?

Yes this is a 2 part noob-a-thon question(plus im at work and bored), but here goes. Is it really better to cast renew on someone or pop a heal on them? Also I was wondering if anyone else uses different lvl flash heals or heals in general?(i dunno maybe im retarted...) I have just started back and I have not healed an instance in about 6 months.(took off from wow for lets say... reasons not my own) I was wondering if anyone had some good refresher tips for me thanks as always!!

Agreed, my priest is only just starting outland, but those 2 items are still in use. I only have about +100 spell damage from old greens and so on and the mobs in hellfire peninsula are still going down nice and easy.
