Just curious about that build. I wanna heal as a druid come 70 however, I still want some viability as solo.

Now, being a somewhat experienced druid, I realize that this will not be the optimum build. . .I know that it is gonna be a lot slower, lol. I guess all I'm looking for is some feedback on the build as a more hybrid build and how severely some of you think it will help or hinder me in the long run, and whether it will even be worth it due to a somewhat gimped resto tree build. Anyways, some feedback would be appreciated.

As a disclaimer, I'd like to mention I have very limited experience with the Resto tree. My very first Druid ended up as a Feral/Resto hybrid (pre-BC) so I've never gone very far into that tree. I have, however, read about and discussed that tree quite a few times. ;)

Okay, so, first thing's first: You can still heal even though you do not spec for Tree of Life form. You can still heal if you put relatively no points into Resto. Or, at least, in talents related to healing. All you really need is a good set of healing gear.

Healing without ToL: You will then likely rely more on your Healing Touch than your HoT's. Doesn't mean you can't use them, just that it may not be as efficient. Healing Touch used to be the main healing tool so without ToL it's just the same. That means if you want a solo build that can heal, I would probably be more in favor of a Feral/Resto build. (That's what I did at first so there may be a personal bias.)

I'd say if you don't want to gimp your solo abilities too much, you could go as far as getting LotP in Feral and then putting the rest in Resto. Kinda like this. HotW helps your mana pool greatly. LotP and much Feral goodness so you can output very respectable damage. Sure, you won't have Mangle which is teh ******** but still. Then in Resto you focus on what you will use the most. Healing Touch and Rejuv. (Since there is no talent for Lifebloom. D:) It also gives you the very tasty Nature's Swiftness which, in conjunction with a max ranked HT, can be one of the best life savers.

Judging by your build you did not intend on getting ToL. So really I don't know why you would want to invest so far in Resto to skip ToL in the end. ToL allows for efficient and great healing which is, or so I heard, awesome for raids but slightly harder to manage in instances, Heroics specifically.

Regardless, if you ever change your mind, you could try something like this. This, IMO, picks up what you really need on your way to ToL with a few extra goodies as fillers but there is basically no wasted talent points. In Feral you could only go as far as Feral Charge for the overall utility and move some points into Nature's Grasp if you think you'll PvP at all. This is, of course, much more of a healing build with utilies built-in than an hybrid build that can be used to solo. It can, it just won't be as effective as other builds.

Good luck. :)
