Quick newbish question. I'm pretty sure I've read the answer somewhere around here but I can't find it and it wasn't exactly answered in the similar threads.

With Imp. Righteous Fury, that 6% damage reduction, when does it apply? After armor mitigation or before? Let's say I have 50% physical mitigation and get hit by a mob for 100:
50% mitigation: 50 * 0.94 for 47?
OR
100 * 0.94 -> 94 with 50% mitig. for 48?

Also, let's say I have Spell Warding and Imp RF. That's 10% spell damage reduction or one is applied before the other?
Spell for 500 damage: 500 * 0.90 for 450?
OR
Spell for 500 damage: (500 * 0.96) * 0.94 for 451.2?

Okay, it doesn't matter much in the given examples, but I'd believe it's more significant in end-game when Mages WTFPWN you with 5k Pyro crits.

Since you're mentioning only multipliers and no constants the order doesn't really matter.

100 x 0.50 x 0.94 is the same as 100 x 0.94 x 0.50. So yes, if you get 50% damage reduction from armor, you get 53% reduction with Imp RF.

Imp RF + Spellwarding together is slightly less than 10%, since it's 100 x 0.94 x 0.96.

Block value is subtracted after reduction from armor/Imp RF. Sanctuary is subtracted before (making it rather useless for damage mitigation).

So *that* is why BoSanc didn't seem as useful as it should've been... D:

Well, anyhow, thanks for the reply. When looking at my first post, I dunno how I managed to get such simple numbers wrong...

"100 * 0.94 -> 94 with 50% mitig. for 48?" WTF? 94/2=47 not 48... must've been tired. T_T

And I'm kinda disappointed about SW+RF but I suppose the difference isn't that big.

0.24% to be exactly. If you get a 10k magic bolt against your head, the difference is 24 damage.

It's more for the principles than the numbers.
It should be 4%+6%=10% spell damage reduction. :P

Yes, I know, I act like a spoiled kid sometimes.

Your math is off.

100 * .94 = 94 * .5 = 47

Doesn't matter which is applied first, the law of mulitplication means the answer is always the same.

Yes, thanks, I kinda realized it in my second post.

"I dunno how I managed to get such simple numbers wrong..."

I really wonder how I messed those up. O_o
