is it possible to have a crit on spells like SW:P?
like instead of 8x200dmg , 8x220dmg or something?

As far as I'm aware there are no DOT or channeled spells in the game which are capable of a critical effect.

I think the only dot that can crit is SW:Death.

Channeled spells can crit, but no, there are no DoT's that can.
oh you're right! I forgot about arcane missiles et al.
There are THREE channeled or DoT spells that can crit: Arcane Missiles, Curse of Doom, and the backlash on Unstable Affliction. Unless I'm mistaken, no other spells of this kind can crit, and unless Starshards can, certainly no priest spells of this kind can crit.

Honestly, I didn't even know Arcane Missles could crit. Anyone know about Mind Flay though? It does seem more like a "flowy" channeled spell rather than a hit-hit-hit channeled spell like Arcane Missles is... If anyone can catch my odd logic.

Yes, I do. Each individual missile from Arcane Missiels can crit or be resisted. The same is not true for any other channeled or DoT spell (except UA and CoD, since they're both a Direct Damage after a set time/action).
Don't both looking for Mind Flay crits, mine hasn't crit in 22 months :P

tnx guys, just wanted to know :)
Haven't seen Mind Flay crits,,,,but have seen healing crits off a VE afflicted mob when using Mind Flay.
Not any more, it was patched a couple months ago, got a huge uproar from priests too. No more VE crits :'(
