Revised Things a Shaman needsFollow

#1 Apr 23 2007 at 2:20 PM Rating: Default
This is a follow-up to my previous post, With intent that it should be easier to pull off. But after the many suggestions, here are my answers

Completely unmolested. I mean we don't have ANY CC at all.

Therefore, here may i suggest this:

41 Point Elemental revised to Earthquake

Earthquake
1038 Mana 3 min cooldown
Channeled

Sunders the earth, causing lightning to erupt in all directions in a circle outside the caster. Deals 3085 Damage over the 10 seconds, and gives your ticks a 50% chance to reduce a large amount of threat to all targets.

This is an effective AoE, when paired with earth elemental totem, and being a 41/0/20 build can allow you to be quite effective.

Mana Tide Trainable, changed to this

Earthgrab
650 Mana
1.5 sec cast 30 yard range
Flings a coil made from lightning and earth to surround the target, immobolizing them completely for 4 seconds. Reduces all threat and passive buffs on the target. Will not work on (Elite) type creatures.

I agree, shamans do need a form of CC, i dont think that they are in a good spot where blizzard will just give them one...

It appears if you want CC - you are forced to become and engineer. Which can be fun, but very costly.

Its a good idea, and I would welcome it - but its not gonna happen. :(

They beter not to remove my mana tide totem for that!!!
there no beter joy of restoring everyone 30% of their mana when everyone is low!

This is not our job to CC, we can do so much already, we don't need more! I really don't want to lose some talent that we are good at, for an other talent that other can do!

Sure an AoE rain would be nice, but your seem to be a bit strong, but I agree on the last talent on the elemental tree should be change to something like that!

If they removed mana tide totem for that, I would be so mad, I might just re-roll... I love my mana tide and trinket combo.

Personally I think that our AoE's like magma/nova totems are pretty darn good.
Its just a matter of someone else being able to soak up enough of the threat before using them.

If you have an AOE person like a mage/lock and they toss down their AoE and you toss your totem at the same time it appears you have managed to get 2x the AoE with little to no problem.
