I was reading up on kara attunement on WoWwiki and saw a link to this guide:

I can see how to get to the frag, but I am concerned with fighting the elite mob that spawns. Has anyone tried this? Can a fresh 70 with greens and low 60s blues do this without much problem? Aside from pots and cooldown use of course.
Any info would be great. I could probably bring another stealther if I had to.

For the Arc key fragment, I just took a sword out the bank since I thought the pat was going to be too fast and I already have imp SS with combat mut. When I got there, went back to mut but I popped evasion and a pot using SS spam btw kidney shots. The pat is kind of slow so there's more than enough time. Had about 6.6k health and right around 1050 ap. Elite hits for btw 700 and 900. Crits for about 2k or so. The other elites are easier with mut though since you have room to kite him around between kidney shots.

Thats a great idea of grabbing a sword, that would mean id need to skill my swords up though, and that sounds like a pain. Im glad you've done it with those stats, because mine are comparable.
I assume he isnt as hard as a normal elite?

Not going to say it isn't possible, but it is extremely difficult to do.
Not soloing the mob, but soloing him as fast as you have to. You have to kill him before the elite void walker pats back, meaning you have around 15 seconds (18 maximum) to kill him. It's just very, very hard to do. Plus stealthing past the robot is a *****, have to burn CoS and sprint. With another rogue you can do it though, but only rogues. Druids can't make it past the robot.

All of the elites are soloable. The other two have lots of space so with a mut spec, you can kill them w/o any cooldowns, pots, or buffs in a little over a minute each. The problem with this one is the pat. The VW takes different routes but at most, you'll have a little over 20 seconds to before it comes back. I was able to kill the other two on the first try by using cripple poison and throw to kite btw kidney shots. This one took me about 5 tries. I used deadly +instant. Get to container. Wait for pat. Loot it to spawn elite. Vanish. Wait for pat. CS>Mut>KS>Renataki>Mut>Mut then I popped evasion, switched to sword, and spammed SS. Was able to kill it just as VW got back, loot, and died. Probably would be easier if you got buffs or another rogue.
I did one of em with like... 7.6k HP and ~1100 Attack Power, specced Prep/Premed/Hemo/Coldblood.
Used all of my cooldowns, evasion, ghostly strike, the whole package.
Stun whenever possible and don't forget they aren't immune to blind.
Bring a pot just in case.

Tried it last night, got him to about 40% or so before the voidwalker came back, on my best attempt. No way I can put out the damage fast enough, so i'll have to bring a friend. Getting to him was a piece of cake though.
This is a lot easier for a sub rogue, no need to kite, 2 evasions, so you're not blowing cps on ks and bring a pot and bandage if you get critted too many times and bandage during a ks. I had about 98% dodge with evasion on so i didn't take much dam and killed him in about 18sec, only problem is you have about 15 before the vw pats back. This is when i blew my 2nd evasion and looted the corpse and was promptly killed by shadow dam. But mission was accomplished and I got to rez with full health outside so saved me some time as i would have had to stealth back as my hearth wasn't up yet. I had mostly blues at the time and about 1500 ap, but for sub rogues that's not a lot, prolly equivalent to 1200 ap for other specs.

Well theres no room to kite. I would love a safe little place to drag him. Hell, theres hardly room to move at all since there is that stupid corpse right next to him that spawns those damn worms. Aggrod them a couple times just trying to get behind the mob.
