Is King Bangalash worth it?Follow

#1 Apr 09 2007 at 4:13 PM Rating: Decent
Well, I've heard of it's superior attack speed, and apparently, still does more damage than any other cat.

But, I've seen that people say apparently it's not worth it for PvP? I'm a little confused, as I'm assuming more damage is -always- good.

I'm considering taming him for my new Hunter, Beast Mastery spec.

if you do PvP alot, and dont tame him, you're gimping your pvp damage

when you have full serpents swiftness, and the pet speed enhancements from the BM tree, he gets to .99 speed after a crit, which is every 5 attacks, and 1.28 speed normal, add in bestial wrath, and he has 187.2 dps, I dont think any other pet in the game can get that at lv 50,or even near, but king B can.

Wow... I think that's higher than my current level 60 pet. o.o'''

Would you suggest him for PvE, too?

Please keep in mind that Blizzard will most likely remove that particular ability from that particular kitty. It’s a bug and Blizzard has very consistently “fixed” such pets in the past. It’s just a mater of time. So if you like that cat whether or not it has its special ability then by all means go for it. But if you tame it just for that one ability don’t be disappointed when it goes the way of so many other unique pet abilities.

Eh, I've only played WoW for maybe two months, and I'm already used to their 'fixing'. xD

Guess I'll attempt to tame him then. =D Thanks.

The superior attack speed is going to be trainable. Check out the PTR Patch Notes for 2.1.0

A new "Avoidance" ability can now be taught to hunter pets. This effect reduces the damage they take from area of effect spells and abilities.

A new "Cobra Reflexes" ability can now be taught to hunter pets. This effect increases attack speed but reduces damage.

Yeah, I'm dropping king B like a bomb, if they add Cobra reflexes into the game for all pets.

I'll go with a scorpion, and resume my spot in tanking mobs and some bosses in instances.

Boars suck atm, nothin beats king B.

and yeah, I recommend him in PvE, he can keep aggroe nicely, compared to any other pet, and in ST, he was taking on 3-5 49 elites while our warrior tanked 2 or so,and we widdled them off. of course, he's always near dead from the asswhooping he gets, but he gets the tanking job done.

I don't know about King B just yet, as my hunter just hit 30. However, I have had no complaints whatsoever with Humar the Pridelord.

I don't have my account available right now, so I can't give you exact specs. But, so far, he is one of the best pets I have seen so far, and there is not much that we can not go through.
