I read in a forum that "Most beasts (99%) will lose their special abilites when tamed," and are left to 3 or 4 of the generic pet abilites (claw, bite, growl, cower). But what about that other 1%... Does anybody know for a fact of a specific beast that retains one or more of its unique abilities when tamed?

The only mob that i'm aware of that offers worthwhile abilities is a level 42-43 silver elite mob named snarler. And even at that, its only just the innate 100 resistance to all elements, which is nice, but not really an ability. Other than that, i've yet to see any real new abilities that can be obtained from normal or elite mobs.
