Alright, wanted to get some interesting ideas flowing after not seeing a whole lot of intriging topics on the rogue board. My inquiry is to how you decide on the armor you equip yourself with? How much precedence do you put on overall armor amount? Do you decide based more on the stat enhancements, etc? Or, does it not even really matter to you, and just take what you get off the random drop and quest?
For myself, I generally try to find armor that increases my agility as high as possible, stamina being a second. The actual armor amount is obviously importent, but I dont go as far as to get leather kits on them (though I probley should). I do my research on here, thottbot, etc, to kinda look around for items that I would find useful.
Since im not a leathercrafter, one of the best ways I have to get good, high agility armor is to ask my guildmate. Since im always sending him leather and such, I just ask him about what he can make for my leather, and he send me a list of a few of em. If there are any specific items that I need to find for him, its a trip to the AH(where I also find some of my armor). Rarely, ill go find the required item drops if the armor is really worth it.
I suppose I can add a question on weapons to the mix as well. Do you look for items that you can use in the near future? Look around for what you can find on the search here and thottbot for items at your level? Do you try to find blue items available to you, or stick to green ones, which are avaiable more readily? I just finished running through an instance 12 times total to grab the rare drop at the end (Drop from arugal in sfk for those in the area, the dagger is worth it!). Fortunantly, half of em were done with the help of a high level guildmate. Blue dagger drops are tough to find, so I took the opportunity while I was in the area, and it was completely worth it.
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to spark some ideas about how you pick your equipment in general. Lets hear some feedback.
