Tale of an unusual horde hunterFollow

Ok now im a lvl 37 Night Elf hunter, and im going to share a little adventure that i recently had on the spinebreaker server, while i was hunting horde.

The setting is stranglethorn vale, near king bangladesh (a level 43 elite tiger).

Earlier on i had been ganked by a group of 3 horde at nessingwarys, and decided that i would track these mongrels down and return the favor. oh sweet revenge.

The enemy: 37 shaman, 41 warrior, 38 rogue

Ive tracked them all the way from nessingwarys using a combination of shadowmeld, aspect of the beast (when an opposing hunter passed by) and aspect of the cheetah. Also feign death and bandages for all the mobs i ran into (damn shadow panthers)

the horde group is about to do bangladesh or something near it i dont know... but they are killing mobs and are oblivious to me. the warrior is down to 3 quater life and so is the shaman from it.

bangladesh is positioned inbetween me and the horde group, and i now used eyes of the beast to get my bear around from another angle on the horde group, closed out of bear and told him to attack while having the shaman targeted. so that he charges in from a direction im not.(read something about someone doing this tactic on a forum earlier and have tried it a few times to get used to it)

I didnt have him too close to them so itd give me some time, i then quickly marked the rogue, laid my frost trap and run closer... my bear starts to whale on the shaman (actually he was doing quite pitiful damage) and i vipersting him and try to take him down.

The only thing that saved me is that most people act pretty stupid when they are surprised. i'd pretty much killed the shaman by the time the warrior had finished killing the stranglethorn tigress mob they were originally fighting and the rogue had run off in the wrong direction looking for me. for some stupid reason the shaman stood there taking it in the back, while he was attacking my bear and putting down totems.

i kind of stuffed up here because my bear must of agro'd a mob on its way in and by the time id almost killed the shaman good old HBB was dead. I fired off a multishot which hit the warrior shaman and good old bangladesh (luckily he was still close enough as he had walked off to the side a bit) i quickly turn tail take 5 steps and feign death.

good old bangladesh turns back to greet the warrior who thinks he has me outnumbered. unfortunately the warriors charge got me and i was stunned. fortunately bangladesh had got back to his territory in time and agro'd on the warrior as he ran past, so it was 2v1 on the warrior the rogue was catching up and the shaman for some reason was attacking one of bangladesh's minions that was chasing the warrior(which at the time i wasnt aware that bangladesh had minions.. lucky!).

me and bangladesh hitting on the warrior was enough for him to turn and run. i change targets to rogue an scorpid on him just before he makes it to me... this is where it turned pear shaped, but i still had luck with me. a mob had respawned and walked over my damn trap behind me... i see the area behind me go white as i was backing away from the rogue while getting hit... i turn tail to run... bad move... rogue stunned me. (damn forgot about that). now im down to a qtr life just lost stun... and have a tiger and rogue attacking me.

scattershot to the rogue and i then made a run for it back over the spot my trap was (i have swift boots for pvp, an used their speed boost, as id given up the fight) a little past it and feigned death again to get rid of the tiger. This time unintentionally landing the tiger on the rogue, lol.

when i realised it had agro'd to him i ran back and took him down (i.e. kited him etc).

i then went looking for the shaman an warrior incase they had survived but sure enough i found their bodies and bangladesh licking his lips.

From here i proceeded to tell a few guildies who didnt understand or care, but they still got an ear bashing from me lol.

unfortunately my build is more marksmen based at the moment and im going to have to re'spec. I'll lost a bit of damage, but ill gain some tactical benefits that can be better than more damage.

p.s. i dont believe the game is meant to be played with crap items either, look for the unusual combinations people and use them they will surprise people and surprise is usually the best way to win.

i currently use a potion, bandages, and girdle of healing to put people off who think they are about to kill me and swift boots for people who expect to stun me when i run off at +40% speed (they think its cheetah).

ive also done many different attempts at the above solo vs group scenario, with most turning bad for me, some where i could only take one down and have to run back over my frost trap and bolt (did a bunch of these in ashenvale when i recently got my frost trap i think, hehe).
