How to position behind a mob during battle?Follow

Hi

I just started as a rogue a few days ago.

I had a trouble positioning my rogue behind the mob after Gouge.

Is there any Lock action that allows my character to keep facing the mob while moving around?

Thanks in advance.

Just run through the mob and turn around, only takes a second or two. Even without Improved Gouge, you have 4 seconds to turn around and pull your move before the mob becomes active again. It usually only takes me a second or so to pull off the whole procedure.

Know also, that when you use gouge, with or without the talent for it, you will want to wait the full duration of the effect to do your backstab or whatver. You can regenerate your energy this way for free, and your enemy can't do anyhting about it.

If you're playing with someone else - throw a dagger at the critter, then back up so your partner/meat-shield is between the monster and you. Once the monster runs -past- the shield, have your partner attack it. It will spin to face him and you'll already be lined up for backstab.

Obviously, that'll only work on critters you're pulling from afar. If you're going up to garrotte or ambush - when they spin you'll have to gouge and then walk through them to the other side, unless you have someone ready to run up and get aggro from you, in which case you can just stay put. :)

I know this wasn't your question but just a tip, once you get Vanish:
If you wanna get really mean and nasty hit 'em with a Gouge, then Backstab, once they come out of the stun, hit Vanish and Ambush them, or whatever else you want! :D

NOTE: This will only work on players, mobs will regain health after you Vanish
