I chose this mostly because I want to be able to maximize my DMG potential. This build should leave me with very damaging ranged attacks, with as much Pet support as possible.

I think we do best in the back row, and I feel by maximizing these thing I will be able to maximize my exp/questing sessions.

I went the heavy pet discipline route. I like to play solo mostly, small groups some, and raid a little. Either way I use my pet as the dmg buffer/meat shield so I can kill from range. I also use it as support when healers/casters get aggro the pet can get aggro back faster than I can.

I have been heavily scrutinized by this profile but I don't care because it works very well for my play style...

This is the one I plan.

I'm not concerning myself too much with my pet since in PvP people will go directly for me instead of it. In addition, in PvE if my pet loses hate to a mob, it will go directly to me. For that reason the survivability talents, especially the Improved Wing Clip, can get me out of a tough spot while my pet regains hate.

Mine's actually rather similar to yours, with two exceptions. Instead of

Pathfinding - 5/5 points
Increases the speed bonus of your Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Pack by 5%.

Efficiency - 5/5 points
Reduces the Mana cost of your Shots and Stings by 10%.

I went with

Bestial Swiftness - 1/1 point
Increases the outdoor movement speed of your pets by 30%.

Unleashed Fury - 5/5 points
Increases the damage done by your pets by 10%.

Thick Hide - 4/5 points
Increases the Armor rating of your pets by 8%.

The reason I chose these is that the added pet speed will make sure that you get any runners, reguardless of whether it's PvE and easy to catch, or PvP and you have a mage using Blink to be able to out-run you, or if someone has a run speed enchantment on their shoes. Leave no survivers.

The +10% damage and +8% armor are to make sure that the pet wins once it chases 'em down. :)

I didn't like Efficiency because it doesn't seem helpful enough right now. (though I reserve the right to change my mind) If it was -10% mana cost on everything, then I'd get it, but just shots and stings? I think there's other places where the 5 talent points are better served. Pathfinding seems nice, but given the drawback that getting hit while using cheetah/pack is a guaranteed stun is bad news... It seems more like just a travel spell, and travel isn't worth 5 talent points in my book.

Oh and remember, this isn't FFXI anymore, you need to take care of your pets! ;)
