Pet QuestionFollow

Alright, made L11 and got the ability to get a pet. I tamed a spider, and was running back to town when my connection {dialup...go figure} lagged bad...next thing i know both me and my pet are dead...I see that right before it kicks me out of WoW all together. My internet provider was down for a day..when i came back on, i was in town...but my pet was no where to be found. I went back to about where i had died..ran all over...yadda yadda yadda. Long story short, i can't charm a new pet because i have one already...can't get rid of my current pet because it says i don't have one.....and can't find the things body to raise it. Has this happened to anyone else?

ok...now i just need to get the raise pet ability...I had just gotten my pet, as i said. Still have to talk to the person in Cenerion Circle {I'm a night elf, btw} in order to train the pet. Thanks for helping me out
