Pets (Wind Serpants)Follow

Ok at LVL 15 I managed to tame a Colior in WC it only took me about 30 tries lol... Now that i have journeyed deeper inside WC at lvl 21 I have noticed another kind of WS (forget the name they are black and shoot green ***** at you) Now if i tame one of those will it retain its ablity to do it ranged poison attacks? Or will it jsut become a black version of what i already have?
