Yes, there are two professions that would suit a Hunter very well.
First and foremost for Gun Hunters would be Engineering, which would best be paired with Mining as it's main gathering skill, because you will rely on metals much more than any other trade item. Engineering allows you to craft your own bullets, make guns, and also make scopes, which permanently increase the damage of ranged weapons.
The other profession which is also a great choice for Hunters is Leatherworking and Skinning. You will be able to craft your own armor, and eventually make quivers or ammo pouches that can increase the speed of your ranged weapon attacks beyond the normal 10%.
Currently, there is no profession to allow the crafting of bows and arrows, but there are many bows in the game which you can find as drops, or purchase rare items from Bowyers. Regular ammo and arrows are always available at most General Merchants, so finding ammunition is never a problem, although the higher level ammunition is harder to find than the low level stuff.
Me, personally, I chose Leatherworking, since I hunt beasts most of the time, and it allows me to skin massive amounts of hides and skins for better armor, much of the higher stuff loaded with Agility stats.
I hope that helps. Good hunting to you.
