I'm planing on becoming a troll hunter once this game comes out and planin on using thrown weapons. however looking around i have found no info on a hunter using thrown weapons. i just wanna know:
Do hunter's skills/bounes work on thrown weapons?
Also are thrown weapons worth it?

Yes, as far as I know hunter skills work with thrown weapons. However, thrown weapons are fairly rare, and good ones even rarer. There are a few weapon types with the same problem-- good luck finding some decent fist weapons or crossbows, for example.

I have never heard of thrown items working the same way as arrows or bullets in a hunter's hands. It would be great if they did, but I am guessing they will only be good for pulling like they are for other classes. Trolls are born with a bow, and I like the little sound they make when used. Besides, trolls look very cool when they shoot arrows and cast spells. The throw animation is nothing special.
A number of people have complained about the fact that thrown weapons do not work with a ranger's ranged abilities. Will it be changed come retail? Who knows.

From my experience, Hunter abilities such as Concussive Shot and Serpent's Shot *do not* work with throwing weapons, either knives or axes.
Neither do melee abilities, unfortunately. Thrown weapons are mainly cheaper and more efficient methods of pulling or finishing mobs for melee classes (Rogues and Warriors, I'm looking at you), then to buy a gun or bow and the ammo for it.

Yea what he said. Bur I really think they should change it I mean Trolls are supposed to throw axes and there is nothing that feels cooler than letting an enemy run just far enough away and than tossing an axe in his back.
