My friend and I were wondering. If your gamecard runs out do your characters get deleted? Someone please answer since we have finals and stuff and our account time runs out but were not gonna have time to play so no use in buying another card.

Not sure how long your character info will be kept but it will not be deleted instantly. i came back to swg after that (joyous) first month. approx 3 months later all my stuff was still there.
Last time I read on the boards they made no guarantees > 5 days on keeping a character account live after the billing isn't up-to-date. CC or Gamecard doesn't matter.
I'd be willing to bet they do keep it more (my guess is at least a billing cycle) but you never know.

Their Terms Of Service agreement does not state their policy between the time an account is canceled/forfitted to when they actually delete your info.
The beginning of the next billing period would also be my guess. I don't imagine they are quick to delete, your game purchase should earn you the right to saved information. It'
s your monthly fee that earns you the right to access it.
At this point, they probably are anxious to keep anything around that would insure your return. But how willing are you to risk all your efforts in-game on that thought?
