Yeah, paying for your education... must suck, huh?

Yes, yes it does. >.< By the time I get my Masters in Education, I'll be at least $60k in debt, purely due to student loans.

There was never any similar agency for primary education in Pakistan, but the UK exam boards provide syllabi and exams for them, at least.

That sucks for Pakistanis. :/ Especially the women, but that's kinda the case everywhere in the Mid-east...

Well, here's hoping the protests actually work.

I'm lucky that my student loans cap at €10,000. Everything beyond that is awarded as a grant automatically.

Aye, especially when you look at Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The thing is, I don't even want to attempt fixing that. With HE, at least the main concern is preserving the status quo.

I guess it's a good thing that I don't have any cash (and so none to donate), because the decision over where to put it would torment me. >.<

There's environmental **** for when you can't decide where to donate money. The thing is, even though I'm all for saving the rainforest and tiger cubs and pandas, I prefer actually helping people who are suffering.

I suppose the fact that I have a "thing" for Pakistan makes it a lot easier for me to decide, too.

I am still of the opinion that £1k is better spent buying one of Dali's lithos.
It's a solid investment because it won't ever go down in worth and you're doing a good deed because having gorgeous art in your home will improve your mood which will improve the living environment for all those around you!

On a sidenote, I bought some expensive Ceylon tea and am currently enjoying it thoroughly while my roommate is drowning himself in the pool or something.
It's good to be by yourself, drinking tea and enjoying it while listening to some quality music.

My aunt has an original Dali painting.

Æth, try this: It's expensive tea that is marketed in an experimental way and therefore cheap.

I just spent €6.20 on 100g of tea, you're a little late with that! Smiley: tongue

Also, I have to resist the urge to make more cups of tea, that was some delicious tea <3

I've been drinking a lot of tea recently. And coffee...

I'm a little addicted to caffeine I think.

Me too.

It's been especially bad the last couple of days. I've been working on website stuff, which means lots of butt-in-chair time. Makes me sleepy and drink more coffee.

I want a good coffee machine so bad. Why must they all be horribly expensive?

Another good use for 1k though

I have a massive headache and want to hurt people... I think part of that is from not having any soda in the last 24 hours, the rest is probably from being in ZG for over 2 hours last night, half of which was wiping on the last boss. I hate those stupid ******* chains and spirit things with a passion.

You need to preorder at Teekampagne anyway.

Also, I've found a person who's lived in Pakistan willing to tell me everything. Water access, weather, want to know someone local for moving? This is great.

I've also contacted one of the Save HEC, Save Pakistan folks and he's replied to me and been really nice.

Drink coffee, cures headaches but gets you a caffeine addiction in return.

edit: Kali, there's a teashop in town where they can also advise me on what I might like so I'll stick with that for now.

I might do that when I get around to leaving the house. Although I do like soda a lot better than coffee. =x Well, depending on my mood. Sometimes a nice white chocolate mocha is really tasty. especially with caramel syrup in it, yum.

What the hell is that? Smiley: dubious

lol, an American perversion to coffee you'd probably think. It's espresso with steamed milk and white chocolate. They're yummy.

Does it actually have caffeine? It doesn't look like it has caffeine, or tastes like coffee.
#6146 May 18 2011 at 3:19 PM Rating: Good
Well yeah, espresso definitely has caffeine in it. The sugar from the chocolate and the caramel syrup do add some flavor to the coffee though, which makes it a lot less bitter. Don't get me wrong, I like coffee, I just don't like the bitter flavor it tends to have.

The syrup and chocolate make it sound like there's very little actual coffee left.

Not much coffee left, but plenty caffeine, plus sugar, lotsa sugar. It's like a whole meal worth of calories and enough caffeine to make you crash when you're done.

Speaking of being done, one more webpage finished and I haven't punched my computer. Now to update the procedures section... yay the fun never ends.
