Where my Lancers at?Follow

Fury, I happen to think that the sword is just about the coolest weapon ever made. The styles the sizes the uses. I think they are amazing.
However I've always always always thought that Dragoon was the best class in all of Final Fantasy lore.
That being the case, in FFXI I loved being a Dragoon! My only problem was it took too long to swing. So of course, when I got to endgame I was more of a haste build type. I tried PLD and WAR and didn't care much for them. Maybe I wasn't much of a tank, however I found THF much more fun than SAM.
Now, of course I don't know anything about FFXIV, but because of my feelings for the Dragoon/Lancer/Dragon Knight class and the fact that you can start as that from day one... I'll be choosing that without question. Of course, I'm still going to try other jobs, and maybe I'll find some that suit me and some that don't but I think that is the beauty of this system.

In the end of course the choice comes down to what you want. But do yourself a favor, play as what you want to be. This is one case where picking with your heart instead of your head may just be the best move you can make.
