Server xfers June 12thFollow

I'm guessing that moving my Sage from The Constant to Jedi Covenenant won't be happening, since JC is the highest pop East Coast PVE server.

Well, 1.3 is making content more accessible. Which is essentially the same thing for the vast majority of players.

Suppose it's a good thing that my server isn't receiving any kind of transfer. It always felt pretty healthy pop-wise to me.

260+ players on the Fleet. Guild recruitment spam is unbearable and Alderaan is still dead, but at least getting into a flashpoint seems to be easier.

Seems to be a fast but horribly glitched process.

I had 8 on a server. I have transferred 7 to Red Eclipse. It now shows me I have 8 on Red Eclipse and the one left on the old server has no transfer options. Logging in to Red Eclipse I only see 7 characters and the Create Char option is available.

Now I see that another server I have 8 chars on is also offering free transfer - but to Red Eclipse.

I would guess that they will vary the destinations after a while. I can't see how they can close a server with characters on it without having offered any chance to get them off. Or perhaps they just haven't considered that people might be full on 2 servers?

I also note that you lose legacy name in transfer. This almost certainly means that mine will not be available wherever I finally get a chance to move to. This is going to make my characters terminally unhappy.

Well I got a CS response which told me to create a new character on Red Eclipse and then delete it. This reset the system to understanding I only had 7 chars there and let me transfer the final one.

Good quick response but from a programming viewpoint slightly worrying transactional control.

Now I just have to worry about them closing my other server with characters still on.

Since I have now unsubscribed (Sorry Maz) unless they offer a new destination server soon I am going to be left with 8 chars on a dead server. And my highest 8 to boot . However since they were going to lose their Legacy name anyway I suspect that they might choose oblivion over loss of identity.

For the record the ones that transferred were 6 Imps and 2 Republic - Including my unforgettable Jedi Mind'tryx

All these new kids in the nieghborhood need to get off my lawn. I got a queue logging in last night on Canderous Ordo... and running dailes on Corellia was an excercise in waiting for respawns.

They've reduced the number of simultaneous players on the fleets.

I wonder how that works. Are the fleets instanced, or does it just not load all of them, or do you get a docking queue or something?

Is the chat instanced as well? That would explain why I still can't find any groups for the various Flashpoints. If I end up in the instance with all the level 50's.
