It's Friiiiiiiiiiiiidaaaaaaaaaaaay! I'm really not that excited, but it's Friday so I'm supposed to be. I have to work tomorrow so this is a busted weekend for me. What do you guys have planned for the weekend?

Gaming Goals:
Knocked out 2 days worth of Black Hole dailies so far. This weekend I need to get the Belsavis bonus series done so I can start on those dailies. I also need to finish the other bonus series I haven't done yet just to see the content. I'd like to run an FP or 2 if possible and maybe do a couple WZs.

Real Life Goals:
As previously stated, work tomorrow. Nothing whatsoever on Sunday except rest and video games.

RL: I'm graduating on Sunday. So there's that.

TOR: I dunno, work on my Knight more. I want to finish Act 2, so I unlock the legacy Force Might buff. Getting him to 50 will also be nice, for the +100 presence. Too bad it takes completion of conversations to unlock the companion legacy upgrade, since both Kira and T7 are nearly to cap (T7 is over 9000, Kira's at around 7.3k).

Might start a new Consular, but I can't decide if I want to go Sage or Shadow. I've brought Sage to 50 already, but on my old server. But between my Guardian and Sage, I'd have every possible role available where Shadow only gives me exactly what I have already, just with more CC and less armor.

RL: Got a workmate from my old job in the Falklands coming down for the Weekend

TOR: Crack out a few more levels with my SI if I have time. Got Monday off so probably do a bit

Congrats!

RL: Sunday is Mother's day, so I'll be getting ready all day Saturday for company on Sunday. Maybe get some game time in Sunday night.

TOR: I've been diverted, I just finished ME2 last night, so now I can pick up ME3 finally and see if it can outdo ME2. But, and this is a big but, D-3 releases May 15 so not much time for ME3 right now.

I'm kind of peeved at Blizzard though, because I got invited a month ago to the Beta and spent hours trying to get it to download with no success. I literally scoured the web and tried every suggestion I could find. The release version better dl for me, no one wants to see a grown man cry . . .

Just as an FYI you don't need to do the bonus series for the Belsavis dailies Big D.

Or at least I didn't. I doubt they would have added that since they removed the req of the Ilum quests before you could access the dailies there.

As for me? Level my Scoundrel a bit, then work Saturday followed by a brief mom's day party for my stepmom and sister in law.

Well, I don't have a breadcrumb quest to lead me to the Belsavis dailies, unless it's on the planet and popped up at 50. And wait, there is an Ilum quest series? Holy crap, I have more to do than I thought.

I just remember going to the Empire bases there and picking them up. There are two; one is in the northwest of the final area (you have to go up through the middle and around to the west, then south again. If you hit the world boss in the big lake you've gone too far north) while the second is in the third area of Belsavis in the southwest. There's about a dozen quests I think, maybe less, including two heroics I believe. Oh yeah, just remembered, but the place where the bonus series sends you? That's the second place I was telling you about, in the third area of Bel. You'll find the daily commendations vendors there (listed as MIission Support and Commendation Vendor I think) as well as 3-4 dailies.

Those might be the worst directions I've ever gotten, but I actually think I understand them, even without having seen the map of Belsavis in a couple weeks. I'll check it out when I get home tonight. I managed to knock out the Black Hole dailies (except the Tolvix heroic one) in the 30 minutes or so I got to play before work this morning. It will be nice to have more than just 4 or 5 dailies to do on Belsavis, especially if they reward the same commendations as the Black Hole ones. I need approx 300k for 2 Biometric Crystal Alloys for my Rakata belt and bracers and I also need a lot of commendations for my Rakata module and implants.

Edit: I wish they had set aside a separate daily area on Belsavis like they did on Corellia. It's nice that they also gave Black Hole its own chat channel. BTW, what's up in the northern part of Black Hole? The Republic daily area?

I think so yeah. I checked it out and it was empty, but it was like 3am server time when I did it, so I imagine it's where they come in to do their thang.

I might start BG over. I lost a companion I really liked because I didn't do his quest soon enough. Had trouble getting to the area so I wandered around an did other quests to gain a level on most characters, but it was too long and he attacked me for lying to him. :(

I really liked him since he could carry like 300 pounds of items. Smiley: lol

I am having a weird issue with the Ilum dailies. The Corellia dailies said "Daily" next to them on the mission tracker. The Ilum ones don't say that, they do say they are repeatable in the mission log, though.

I think all the Ilum quests outside the story lead-in to the flashpoints are daily repeatables. There's probably no designation because there wasn't a real need to differentiate them when implemented.

Probably so. I just thought it was weird, especially because all of the Corellia dailies are in their own little zone and every quest in that zone is a daily.

Oh, and I may not get much TOR time in this weekend either. I'm planning on DLing Rift Lite tonight and trying it out. If I like it I may cancel my WoW sub and sign up. They have a "Digital Deluxe" edition right now where you get a scaling mount, a personal banker (works like the WoW guild perk or the Goblin racial), and a faction tabard all for $15.

Edit: Cancelling the WoW sub will mean breaking my 1 year agreement which means I won't get a free copy of DIII. I may just wait until my WoW 1 year sub runs out and then sub up for Rift, seeing as I can play as many characters as I want to level 20 without paying a dime.

Well, how much longer is your 1-year commitment?

I don't remember and I don't have my authenticator with me at work today to log into my account and check. If I had to guess I would say I have enough left in it that the remainging monthly fees would cost more than buying DIII at the store. I guess that means I'd be better off cancelling the sub and just buying DIII. and subbing for Rift. I wonder if they'll let me out of the Annual Pass thing.

Edit: Sub for Rift assuming I like the game.

Did you have to pay for the Annual Pass upfront?

I don't know how it works with the annual pass. I only went month-to-month with WoW, but when I cancelled, it just cancelled for the next payment period; I still had the rest of my month where I could play. That's how SWTOR works, too. If I cancel, my sub remains active for the rest of the 3-month period I paid for.

No you don't pay for it up front, you just do an online agreement that you are going to stay subbed for a year. WoW's sub works the exact same way as SW:TOR's, with the same increment options and I even think the exact same prices. I am currently on a month-to-month billing plan for both of them because I can't affiord the expense of $72 at once for the 6 month plan. You did get free stuff for siging up for the annual pass, though. you got a free mount for all characters on your account, a free digital copy of DIII, and an automatic invite to the MoP beta.

I haven't used the MoP beta invite and I would actually prefer a hard copy of DIII, especially if it doesn't require a huge install on my hard drive. My OS/WoW/SW:TOR drive on my new PC is a 120 gb SSD and I only have about 33 gigs left after Windows 7, S:TOR, and WoW. I am planning on uninstalling WoW which should give me close to 30 gb back, but I'd prefer to keep 30-40 gb open on that drive in case something else comes along that grabs my attention. If I just replace WoW with Rift and then have to do a massive hard drive install of DIII, I end up with 15-20 gb left on the SSD and would have to start installing programs on the 2 TB 5900 RPM HDD I installed to use mainly for storing pics, movies, and the like.

Oh, I thought you had to actually buy a 1-year subscription upfront to get it free. Haha, I probably would have stayed subbed if I had known.
