During Beta I played a Cleric but never got past level 12 unfortunately. I was looking at rolling a Warrior for live and saw the Beastmaster tree and it intrigued me.
Has anyone seen a Beastermaster Warrior as a viable tank along with their pet? It seems like it may be better just for solo play but I also haven't seen it in action in a dungeon/raid setting.

It's not a tank build by any stretch. It's pet tanks just about as well as a Necromancer, Ranger or Elementalist's tank pets do. Which is just well enough to keep mobs off of you while leveling. Send them in against an elite, and they die fairly quickly.

While it isn't a tanking build you can always spice up things and use it as a soul to the side of a tanking class. While it lacks tank power it can still give you a pet you want so much. Be creative I say, so long as you keep a focus on tank power you can invest in using Beastmaster to some degree, but overall its not a tank tree.
