I was really interested in it because I liked the thought of a melee buffer/DPSer but I took a look at the tree and it's really really tank heavy. Looked for main Soul Warlord builds but it's always just a the tertiary to other Warrior Calling builds. Anyone here planning to main Warlord? If so, what are you choosing as subs?

Right now I have a Warlord/Champion/??? on paper and kinda struggling.

So far I came up with http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1ckEh..xEukk0Rccz.VGRzs0Vszrz

the only reason i got Champion was for the charge.

Right now I really feel warlord was badly laid out. Its basically a tank class without the real tanky abilities to suppliment it. I'm hoping they give it more buffs and put some at the bottom of the tree and really give it the ability to be the 'support' type it says it is suppose to be. If anything it should be converted to a dps tree with supplimental tank abilities to make it up more so. It just lacks really in being able to shine out on its own, while it lacks to much to be a worthy investment as a supplement since much of its abilities lay near the end.

I mean look at perfect's build, while he says its a warlord build in the end its taking a half and half of pally and warlord.

Just give it some time, I really hope that eventually they revise the warlord tree and making it more appealing, hopefully adding a dps end to it while still providing the benefits to a tank just dipping into it.

I was just looking over Warlord Tree. It appears to me to be well suited for an off-tank / dps, when you combine it with another tree. I think the biggest question people will have wehn choosing this soul, is what do they want to be more effective as, an off tank- or a dps.

The buffs to spell and attack power are there. Oh sh*t threat reducing abilities are there to place on allies. Resist and HP buffs are there. Defesnive group mitigation buffs are there. Single target cc is there.

The warlords 51 point ability looks like it would do insane damage to a huge group

i think id use this build, so i can buff groups with both calls from warlord and bonds from BM, additionally i take crit strike increasing talents for my pet and myself so i can utilize the BM effect where me and my pet's crits deal 100% of our strength aswell, and i also take dodge and parry so i can somewhat off-tank without a sheild. Hope this somehow helps :)

ooooo snap i just noticed, you'll see in the BM tree that i forgot to put a point into "Shared Bonds" which allows my bonds to affect all party members, sooo just take a point off the talent which increases pet's crit chance and put the point back into shared bonds :D

That build is looking pretty good Frozen. I do hope that they eventually buff the Warlord buffs because I'm probably going to be trying the game pretty soon on my girlfriend's account (decided not to jump in headfirst.)

Funny thing is that my only gripe with the game right now is the feeling that the world is moving around my character and not the other way around.

I too have been looking forward to the Warlord build, and I usually see it taking as a tertiary tanking soul for the -5% hit chance to enemies. I've been brain storming a bit and this is what I've come up with so far as in a main dps Warlord build.

It is actually evenly split between Warlord and Champion and 2 points into Paragon for Strike Like Iron. So far the best to look at with wanting to deal the most damage and be able to buff. Champion gives some great extra damage buffs (+18% to attack abilities, +10% to finishers as well as the [atleast should be] 40% damage to all abilities while wielding a 2H.) I hope to try this out once I hit 50. =)

EDIT: Took 1 point out of Enhanced Dodge to put into Call to Entrench for the added raid support.
