I love how you can switch from DPS to tank and healer/spellcaster.
In wow this class is called druid as you all probably know.

Does it exist any class similar to this. I know that you easily can switch roles in rift but It would be really great with a druid class that would be able to shift shapes and roles with an easy click on the keybord :)

I know there will be a class called druid. I don't know what their skills are yet.

I don't think you'll be turning into a bear or cat anytime soon. At least I hope not; would be too blatant a copycat act.

Na, I think someone on the official forums stated that Rift's Druid class is more of a caster, and no shape shifting involved.

In alpha i think there was a healer called warden, in other games normally is a druid, but i dont really know for sure, but in riftbuilders i saw that one of the options was warden so the class seems to exist but not released in the oficial page yet.

Warden is a HoT healer, water based from telera wiki.

I also haven't seen any information on the Druid. I don't have a problem with them being shapeshifters, in fact I would think a few neat twists on the traditional animals could give the class some flavor while keeping it seperate from other game's Druids.

Druids in other MMO's and table top RPG's long before WoW have traditionally been able to shapeshift. Seriously though, while I enjoy the flexibility different shapeshifting forms adds, I can't stand losing my character's appearance and much prefer stances to shapeshifts.

I was wondering the same thing, but with the three souls it seems like the diversity of a druid could be encapsulated in having three separate classes. Sure, it isn't going to be as strategic as switching forms as a WoW druid, but at least you can be a bit multipurpose.

I'm not sure there is going to be a soul with multiple rolls due to the soul system Rift uses. It would seem a little silly to me to make a hybrid soul when they give you so much freedom to make hybrid's between souls. It would just seem a little redundant to me.

Exactly. If you want a class that can go back and forth between DPS melee caster or heals, be a cleric. You can "shapeshift" between roles anytime you aren't in combat.

From collected info in general:

Druid soul cannot shapechange and is more of a jack of all trades cleric build with healing/utility pets.

They actually melee more than range specialize but do have ranged powers (mix of everything I imagine while specializing damage). General consensus is that it is a middle of the line soul capable of mixing with any other depending on whether you want to spec ranged damage, melee damage or healing.
