Yeah, smartquotes and suchlike would likely cause problems since they are a different character than a normal quote.

0x27 is a standard single quote/apostrophe. Smartquotes are 0xE28098 and 0xE28099 for open and close. That definitely confuses things.

I made myself a ticket to, once we get some more pressing stuff done, look at trying to turn smartquotes (single and double,) into their normal counterparts in links in the wiki and such at the very least.

There's not a tool/report function yet. This thread is probably as good a place as any in the meantime.

Edit: apparently we're also setting it up so that a person can remove his/her own entries.

Does this site have it's own SIMPLE url yet? I absolutely despise the url that I typically use to get here. Is zam first or rift .. do i leave out www ... where do i put the periods again?

I've been a lover of wowhead for years, but wowhead is friendly - you type www.wowhead.com and you are there. I can never remember and don't want to remember the convoluted url for this site. I'd love to support this site, but if it doesn't have it's own simple url in another week or so I'll just use the curse version with their VERY easy to remember riftdb ...

I suppose this is the right thread to right that I can't post a comment at this but all I get is a a page "http://rift.zam.com/fcluster/Post.pl" and nothing else. :/

True, but I can still never remember it and I'm one of the many that doesn't want to have to think about it everytime. The url shows rift.zam.com ... but the site says zam rift ... and then if you imput http://rift.zam.com, it takes you someplace else ( or at least does for me ) ... or if you input a www it does something different yet again.

Choose a catchy and ez name to remember name like wowhead and then apply it. I'm only posting my issue because I WANT to use the site but find it annoyingly frustrating. I'm also completely confused by why a company would run a successful site like wowhead, and then change the name format to something that is so much more confusing. Why not stick with a formula that works - especially when it is your own formula?

Anyways, I digress. Hope the input is taken under advisement. cheers.

I'm currently working on the instance pages

Adding the loot for all the boss on the main page for easy access but as higher I get in dungeon lvl thee more and more loot there is.

I was wondering if there was a way to create some kind of tab menu for the loot to separate the normal and expert loot while keeping the page clean.

Then should I stop adding them and concentrate on another area?

Ok but right now there's a lot of expert loot that are tag under the normal boss or loot that are not on the right boss

His there a way I can remove/edit those?

dunno if you guys are working on the DB right and thats why its acting strange, I am trying to add some items to rift rep vendors now that the tooltips are working, but I can add one item the whole page bugs and I cant add anymore items unless I refresh the page. Thanks for getting the tooltip thing working :D

Ok totally understandable, but in IE 8.0.7601.17514, default version in my windows 7 it still does not work.

OH YEAH FORGOT the remove recently added item thing DOES work in both browsers which is AWESOME :D TY TY TY for adding that in!

I know I can comment and edit the page but that doesn't show up in the tooltip

Any plans to do a character profiler section similar to the Wowhead character profiles? This would allow a person to review gear combinations off the database information and to figure out optimal set-ups for gear.

Unless the add to it, we can get drops and locations of mobs from the data. It should be ready when the update drops. The back-end stuff is 99% done. The UI is very plain presently and not very friendly (definitely not my area of expertise,) so that's getting spruced up.
