I hear poison whips are fun, might be more of a dex character thing though.

There's one specific whip that's ridiculously powerful when you make it a Poison weapon. Not sure it would be all that effective on any other whips.

More progress. I wonder if I should have just tackled the woods before the Iron Keep. It feels easier but I don't know if that's just because I'm overleveled for it. I think I just wanted to clear the Iron Keep so I could have access to infinite titanite shards. Trying this poison Morning Star. I don't know. Most things die on the hit that would activate the poison anyway. I guess it could be useful if I am pulling with poison arrows or some ****.

Accidentally bought like 200 greatarrows. I don't have a greatbow. Whoops.

Don't forget to go down the well in Majula. I sure would hate to see you miss such a fun and easy zone! Smiley: sly

Damn it feels good to be a gangster Sunbro. Got 3 GLS and a Sunlight Spear now slotted.

\(^.^)/ Praise it.

Pretty sure I went down there. I know I got all the treasure on the way down.

Did you do the Gutter and Black Gulch zones? At the bottom of Black Gulch is one of the boss souls..

Grave of Saints is there too but you can skip it by going all the way to the bottom with the good ladder from the ladder NPC.

Ah, I must have ****** up one of the drops on my way down. I had all the items, but didn't have the bonfire lit in the Grave, so I guess I didn't go any further. Thanks! That'll probably be my next stop after Brightstone Cove.

Beat NG. Still got King and Ancient optionals to kill before I NG+ but I decided I'm not patient enough to wait for the DLC on this character so I am going to NG+ as soon as I beat those last 2 for cheeves.

This is my new look for NG+ I decided:

Saints hood and robe, Havel's gloves and boots, Fire claymore +10, Defenders shield. I think it matches quite nice and it's sill under 70%. Fashion Souls +1

Just gonna leave this here.

Also NG+ is awesome so far. Especially enjoying my NG++ Heide area and sunbroing to help on both those bosses's.

ARRRRGH... Same thing that always happens to me in video games happened. I get busy with work and life and other sh*t, drop a game for a while, and then I can't ever go back. I keep launching it, playing for like 5 minutes and then closing it down. I want to play it, but once I start, I just can't pay enough attention for it to be worthwhile.

You need to prioritize Spoon. Video Games before RL and junk. I know what you mean though. I always play new MMO's like a madman then stop for a week to play something else, thinking "I'm totally gonna play that MMO again after." But it's over. I need to cancel my ESO sub before I end up paying for it 6 months without logging in. Smiley: oyvey

I burned out a bit this weekend. Then by Tuesday it seemed fun again so I pushed through Iron Keep in NG+

Biggest difference so far seems to be lots of red NPC invaders and now the occasional real red invader.

I think it was the Destiny alpha that wrecked my desire for Dark Souls.

I got a bit bored with NG+ in bright cove. I was just basically crushing my way through everything because my toon could do everything. So I decided to play my STR/FTH cleric for a bit and got re-hooked. I like the struggle, I like planning a new build and scrounging for new stuff. Plus buying games on Steam summer sale then just playing DS2 instead makes me happy in some weird way.

Mace is godly in PvE. Serious. That low stam use with high damage and poise break is just nutty. Currently sunbroing on Mytha in Earthen peak, all my toons end up sunbro, and I am ok with that.

I'm still playing this in between my new games. Also eat a bag of [link=http://www.ddir.com/]************ spammers.

Actually you don't deserve ****'s! Because ****'s is actually pretty good.

Currently broing up the mirror night on my str/fth toon. You want me to pwn the mirror knight for you? Now is the time lol.

Been watching Man vs Game play this over the past week. Making me really want to start playing again.

My current toon:

Screenshot

Str/Fth with lots of vit so I can wear heavy stuff and swing a big lightning +10 Mastadon stick. Basically did some giant Jeigh farming so I could +10 all my gear and lightning everything. Lightning Avelyn with 999 lightning bolts, Lightning Mast +10, Lightning Chime infused with lightning and lightning sauce on the side.

Sunbro.

Of course my lightning guy got the crap nerfed out of him in the last patch...

Also First DLC out today! Funny thign is I decided to mod the crap out of Fall Out New Vegas and play it a week ago and am totally hooked on it again although I have played it through multiple times it;s been 3 years so.

People seem to be digging the DLC so far from what I have read. I'm going to wait and play it after I finish this FNV run. I will most likely finish my Dex toon that is in Shrine on NG so I can play the DLC once in NG since I took my other two toons to NG+ already.

Also spears got and dex/quality in general got a buff so I am looking forward to retrying my Dex guy out again soon.

So this is my new Dex character since the patch.

Screenshot

Man oh Man... Partizan is now D/S (S Dex) and it is, well it's just awesome. Fantastic standard spear pokes with low stam but also a R2 Sweep that is simply shweet.

That shot is me about to broing up some mirror knight. Partizan eats his lunch.

Also farmed the Llewellyn armor which looks just like nights watch armor and mixed it with my havel poise gloves and thiefy mask. Planning on plowing to near the last boss then swapping to the DLC on this toon so I can see it once in NG before I take my NG+ toons through it.

Patch 1.06 seems pretty great so far.

Can a brother get a pity post? Smiley: lol Guess I am the only one still playing DS2. Just wanted to say I beat the DLC on my dexbro in NG. It was challenging to be sure going in blind. I did have to cheat once to find the second bonfire in the second area because I was traveling all the way from the first zone to get back there at that point.

The normal mobs and maze like terrain were more challenging than the bosses at least in NG. I pretty much soaked damage on every encounter and almost never got away with clean kills, but still managed to squeak by. About halfway through the second zone I just quit and said F this. Then in typical DS fashion an hour later I had completed that area and was all elated and proud.

Looking forward to trying out the DLC again on my NG+ toons to see if it's even more brutal. (it will be I am sure Smiley: nod)

No pity post for you, I'm still on DS1 trying to beat O&S. How is the DLC compared to the main game, is it more challenging or just more of the same?

I'm hearing good things about the DLC, but I'm waiting to play any of them until they're all out.
