And Nadenu and I are both on Faeblight (RP). If you start there, let me know and I'll hook you up with some plats.

Now, how about that Dragon Age game everybody seems to like?

Faction doesn't really matter anymore. You can group/guild cross-faction now, and the expansion zones have a shared main city.

Didn't realize the referral thingy actually gave you anything. If anybody wants one, drop me a PM with your e-mail address.

Nope, there's just a slightly lower concentration of turds on RP servers.

When you Ascend a friend, you will both gain the following benefits:

Your Ascended friends’ characters will receive the Novitiate’s Phylactery, a trinket that increases all experience gained by 5% until level 20!
You and your friends will be able to summon one another once every 30 minutes.
Your Ascended friends’ characters will be automatically added to your Friends List, and your characters will be added to theirs.
Your Ascended friends will earn the in-game title, “The Chosen.”

Also If you have multiple referrals
When your Ascended friends purchase 30+ days of Patron status (via subscription or in-game Patron Passes) you’ll earn new treasure and rewards!

3rd Friend, Swift Ember Steed
A hellish horse that matches the speed of the fastest steed in your collection.

2nd Friend, Trailblazer’s Hat
Wear this hat with pride as you blaze new trails through Telara.

1st Friend, Courage
A companion pet who is loyal on many levels.

I played for about the first 5-6 months of the game's life. It was fun, but our raiding guild collapsed and I got rid of my character. I keep thinking I would love to go back again, I loved some of the mechanics (and really loved the tanking rogue class), but now I'm back to raiding in WoW and I don't want to have 2 MMOs going at once :(. If I could get back my old character I'd more heavily consider it, but at this point that's not an option :(.

Ultra doesnt turn up everything though (ground clutter, AA, terrain distance, etc), but tbh Rift isnt very well optimized and my computer cant run it for **** on maxed out settings.

Yeah that was a fun time (even though i wasnt really part of the 'core group'), I knew I'd be back to play more Rift after I left. I tried playing my warrior (Bamf) again but after all the balancing and stuff, i had all my roles wiped and had no idea how to play him anymore, heh.

triple post and idgaf.

The dresses arent pretty enough to warrant a download. The best part of this game, IMO, is leveling up on a busy server, and the servers are pretty busy now. The rift events can be cool when there are raids hunting them down and they add a little random variety to leveling up.

The class system lets you switch between your multiple specs (roles) on the fly. So if a fight needs a little extra healing the rogue can switch from melee/range damage to bard in the middle of an instance. Or just easily switch between your group and solo builds.

Also theres housing but i know nothing about it.

For the most part though it feels a lot like WoW.

Honestly the main thing I liked about it is the rogue class had more than just damage specs. The tank spec and support spec (minor healing with buffs) were both just as fun as the dps specs.

I kinda played this to death when it launched. Got to the endgame, raided some, pvped up to rank 5 ish. I really liked my rogue and the combos of souls available but I don't think I will be back. Gonna tool around in Neverwinter until Steam summer sale.

The grind isn't nearly as bad until you hit 50.... then, you'll want the Space Odyssey audio books.

Grinding is where you gather a party and head out to some overcrowded, remote location and then fight the same monster type again and again for a few hours in order to gain half a level or so, right? I mean, if you're lucky and your tank doesn't decide to leave after 20 minutes and then you spend another hour or so trying to find a replacement. And just when you find one, your healer has to take off. Then there's no healer so the tank you invited decides to join another group and then you give up and log out. Right?

I ment grind as in boring, dull, monotonous. From my 10 levels the skills dont feel like they have any "oompf" they just seem like hitting buttons. Maybe its the animations. I ground like 10 lvl 85-90 toons in WoW, I have a almost capped warrior in GW2, and I had a 75 back pre bird camps, a 2nd one after bird camps in FF11.

I understand grind, Idk just something about Rift feels of, Like i said like im not really doing anything.

Doesnt matter anyway, Im posting from my phone connection, the internet I hijacked caught on and kicked me off the network, So its back to teethering my sh*tty verizon wireless prepaid, til monday.

Grind is Everquest, around 2001-2003. Ugh.

I miss Rift. But right now I'm holding this hard drive together with duct tape and bubble gum. Since my husband hasn't worked since December, I just can't see me spending even $50 right now on a crappy HD. But he's getting better, he hopes to be able to get back to work soon, then maybe I can start buying things other than groceries and electricity.

People that complained about the events, rifts and invasions always annoyed me to no end. That's what this game is about, ffs. Usually the entire zone would ask them what in the world they were doing on this game if the game itself bothered them so much.

For me, quests were just something to do while you waited for an event. Quests blow.

I really liked the Rifts. I never did them full time, but they were a great source of xp, and a great way to break up the monotony of questing.
