CTRL + Home cycles through sizing options on UI elements in your HUD editor. They didn't exactly make it clear so I figured I'd post it here.
In case you didn't know, your level caps at level 20 and you cannot go as far in the story mission as you could in closed beta. After the Ifrit fight level 20 mission fight it ends. So any exp you get from that fight if you are already at level 20 will be lost. And you cannot get your Chocobo in the open beta.

Turin Stole my last name now I need a new last name, also gonna roll on Ultros too In a bit, Character would be Xain Alexander but now Im not sure

Played with Lancer and rushed through all the content I did in closed beta. Got up to level 11 and decided to play Archer for a awhile. It occurs to me that Archer might be a bit broken. It's fair to easy to kite mobs and plink them to death. You don't have to be stopped or even facing them to hit them. I took out a level 12 Tree Slug as a level 4 Archer and never took a single hit while doing it.

Midway through level 8 GLA. Going to get to 10 and then switch to CNJ and level that to probably 20.
Ultros is locked right now? That's... worrisome. Oh well, I can always migrate over there. I'm not too worried about losing progress from P4, to be honest. I'll add all of you once Ultros opens up again. In the meantime, I'm going to make a few Arcanists to finalize my racial choice.
The other thing I need to decide on is what city I want to call home. It's a toss-up between Gridania and LL. I don't mind if I have to wait 15 levels to start on my Arcanist, particularly not when it means closs-slotting skills. So starting as Conjurer wouldn't be so bad, really.
So now it occurs to me I should dip into each housing area to see which I want.

Yeah Like every US server is locked atm, only the EU ones were able to make characters on.

So far I just finishing the Story quest to get the airship on my lancer on my friends server, Im 16 and will probably stop leveling here Since I dont wanna waste any XP at 20 and I might as well get a few classes to 10 +

They buffed the +CP ring from selecting Fortune, for some reason. Shocking, actually, because it was already the best crafting ring you could get until level 19. I wonder if they changed the CP equation, or if they buffed all CP stats, or if they just decided they wanted it to be the best crafting item for a long time...

Is there currently or will there be a cross-server friend's list? I didn't care for much about POL, but I did like being able to add friends on other servers to one list.
If anyone wasn't aware, the housing zones are in P4 (as demo areas). If you want to see the style of the zone, in case that influences your choices, I'd head over there to see them.
So far, I've only checked out The Mist (LL zone). It's beautiful, it's quaint, it's beachfront. Reminds me of a Mediterranean Village.
Haven't seen the other two yet, but it's really, really nice and I may go LL just for it.

Another tip:
Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > Sharing
You can choose which hotbars are shared between classes. I was getting very frustrated with it until I found that setting.

I haven't been able to enjoy much in the game, since I'm stuck with the 90000 error. And someone invited me to a linkshell (randomly) so I get pop ups all over my screen about people joining/leaving the linkshell. I can't dismiss the invite because of this 90000 error. The game thinks I'm in an instance, so I can't send/recieve tells, join parties, leave parties, accept or dismiss link shell invites, or join any instance battles. Meaning I can't test out any other classes because I can't finish my level 10 class quest. A bit disappointing.

What kind of bonus? My chain bonuses have kept going when I leveled.
And the rested bonus in this game is a straight percentage of experience. You can switch between classes, but the total percentage is what will matter. So if you have 20% rested exp and put 10% into a level on a 39 class, then put 10% into a level for a level 1 class, you're done.
I don't THINK it wears off upon level. Are you sure you didn't just use it up at the same time?

I think it doesn't let you make new characters on the server if it's full at the time. I've had servers be greyed out in the afternoon, but in the early morning before work I had pretty much free reign. I assume they'll be higher capacity at launch.

I guess I just didn't understand how rested EXP worked, though I do remember reading that it goes away once you level up. I don't know whether or not it's true, just that I read it.
The only thing I can find is this, and it's somewhat unclear.
I guess there are two questions we need answered. 1, what is the hard cap on rested exp? 100% of a level? 200% of a level? 250? 2, is rested exp based on total experience, or remaining experience?
If it's based on total experience, then it should be deducting from the total percentage over time (0 > 100 could take all of it, but 900 -> 1000 could take 10% of it).
But if it's based on remaining experience, then it is actually just addressing how much the time to next level you get buffed. Which would suck, and I hope this isn't the case.
