Ok, got a semi-decent city going. Thanks for the simoleons! I'm specializing in oil ATM, and sending oil to the airport site. Should I pick up another city area?

I can't get into any of the US East servers, so I'm in US West 1.

No problem. I'm also sending oil to the airport out of Eske's Escarpment, but s'all good - we'll just polish off the oil part quicker. I'm trying to get metals out of Eske's Edge, but I'm having trouble getting goods to ship properly through all the traffic between my two cities. Might take a little work to get that going. I think the other thing we need is alloys? No rush, though.

Last I checked, it was "available to people with a region, but full to new players" which is dumb. I'll monitor it today to see if it changes.

So the list of free games EA is allowing you to pick one from due to the SimCity issues has been released. They are:

Battlefield 3 (Standard Edition)
Bejeweled 3
Dead Space 3 (Standard Edition)
Mass Effect 3 (Standard Edition)
Medal of Honor Warfighter (Standard Edition)
Need For Speed Most Wanted (Standard Edition)
Plants vs. Zombies
SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition

You just have to register SimCity before March 25th in order to qualify.

It looks like they opened up some of the servers to new players, but still no NA East 1.

Any of you have an interest in starting up a region in NA West 3? That's where I'm at currently.

I have so many cities now, I forget what I'm doing with them, haha. I'm kind of thinking about trashing my first one though. It was just my practice city to get used to the game.

I have no idea what to do with this city. It's got a bunch of oil, but Demea's doing that already, and the wind is blowing in the wrong direction to put industry in the back where I have it.

I'm thinking that I'll forgo heavy industry and just turn it into a gambling city. Dunno.

Oh, and I set up a university in it, so I can start banging out the research for the better power plants and great works.

You won't need to create a separate user account, just log in with the same user account that's on the SimCity PC.
