Guild Wars 2 Will there be mounts?Follow

As someone who never played the first Guild Wars I am quite interested to try Guild Wars 2. I was also a dedicated player of Everquest 2 and WoW and recently Diablo 3. So far everything looks awesome and the future chance to have your own house reminds me of EQ2. Not everything needs to be available at launch, but it's nice to know it has at least been thought about. Which brings me to the question will this game also have ride-able mounts? I can't seem to find any information about it on the official wikia.

Yeah, no mounts in the game won't prevent me from playing it, but I guess in true MMO tradition it would be fun to show it off and have the speed buff. If travel is easy then I guess it won't matter.

I was able to find a FAQ about mounts that stated no mounts at release date, but it did not say never. My take on it is players like to have that option to show Accomplishment (quest line reward, reputation reward, level unlocked or gold bought), Appearance/self satisfaction/importance, and of course the speed buff.

Yes, the exclusion of it dose not deter me away from the game, but it seems like they have included everything else and then some one would hope a well constructed MMO should have so in a way this tends to stick out.
