I've been told turtle beach stuff is ****, but I don't know as I would not spend $200-300 on headphones to game with. If I was going to drop that amount I'd just get some Beats by Dre.

Turtle Beach does suck, I'm using a pair of X11s right now, and they were $60. I'm still thinking about buying a pair of these.

Most headsets with a built in mic just suck in general. Most of the time they are designed for appearance first and functionality second. I have a pair of JVC HA-RX900 headphones (55 on Amazon) that sound just amazing. They are probably the best headphones you can get without spending hundreds of dollars on professional gear. Add in a cheap clip on mic and I've got what I consider the ideal setup.
