I'm current playing through Sam and Max and they are quite enjoyable.

Yes, quite.

I see torchlight 2 is half off until tomorrow at 10 am and I am trying to decide whether or not to buy it... but I haven't touched torchlight 1 and I don't have time.* But it's only 10 dollahs!

Got a GMG email you all may be interested in:

GMG Email wrote:
Starting on Tuesday at 5pm GMT, we are giving you a 60% discount on Borderlands 2 for 24 hours. Then on Wednesday at 5pm GMT you can get 60% off XCOM: Enemy Unknown for 24 hours.

It doesn’t stop there, if you grab a copy of Borderlands 2 or XCOM while they are on discount, we'll also send you a 30% off voucher** for either games' DLC.

I'm not sure if the 20% off voucher ( GMG20-P4DLK-FKYRS ) stacks on this deal , but past experience has it leaning towards yes. So assuming both BL2 and Xcom are 59.99 AND the code stacks you would be looking around 19.20 for the games. which isnt bad but if you put the 30% off DLC on there you save a pretty penny.

The ** in the email says the voucher is only good for 72 hours, might want to consider that also.

I bought it, and the dragonborn DLC for skyrim... then played skyrim for most of the day (after my root canal) and about 15 minutes of torchlight. I even loaded up Diablo 3 for a few minutes. It seems like it got way easier since I last played. (haven't even gone through the story once though!)

I'm probably going to put my MMO sub on hold so I can actually play other games that I haven't touched.

PSN Deals this week:
+PS Plus members:
-Vanquished - "Free"
-Megaman X: Maverick Hunter (PSP/PSVita) Free
-DUST 514 Starter Pack - Free
-Urban Trial Freestyle - 20% off PS3 11.99 PSVita 7.99 no cross buy

The rest of the update isn't posted yet.
Vanquished looked pretty good, was going to pick it up one day to play it, but hell free is better.

Megaman X: MH is a good game, if a tad easier then its SNES counterpart. The animated scenes and voices actually tell a bit more story. Definitely a must play for free, it was one of the first games I got for my PSP when i picked it up near launch.

DUST514: is the Freemium FPS with EVE, I played a bit, it felt slow and the you die you lose a the current gear your wearing mechanic was a tad getting used to (Btw they give you the basic sets for free so its only the "extra" sets you make that cost you ingame credits. ) Even on a lose of a game you make back almost enough to cover the costs unless you ran around and died a million times. You can play with mouse and keyboard, and it works just fine (cept a few weeks ago you couldnt keybind, option was in the menu but didnt work blame beta) One killer thing that threw me off was you cant run and reload at the same time that irked me and the grenades had weird physics. But again free stuff is free.

The last game I have no clue about. Ill post again when they post the detailed list of discounts and weekly deals.

Quickie update: Dust514 gripe, the weapons arent customizable I hate ironsights but the only way to get a sigh/scope is to buy a weapon with one (IIRC)

Vanquished is good but short, and you should put "free" in quotes since it's not actually free.

I put the quotes in but I would figure since it said PSN plus that people would assume they had to have that to get the game free, and it stays free as long as your a member and at least checked out with it during the free time. you can always go back and redownload it as long as you your a PSplus member. I have games I still havent played from a year ago waiting to be played lol.

The last game I have no clue about.

It's pretty much PS3's version of Xbox 360's Trials HD.

I see, Im waiting for Trials on PC next month so meh.

As for the PSN update Im guessing since its late isn't coming til tomorrow after the Playstation meeting, I've seen no posts or anything, and the Online store(Pc version) isnt updated at all still showing old deals. The PSplus info I got was from their blog posts about it.

Now if lets say a ninja update doesnt happen tonight, or someone forgot to push out the update, I'm semi kind of excited what might be said tomorrow as it's something going into effect right away (or more than likely) they just waiting so they can put a big PS4 banner on the main page. meh .

Well I know for sure it's not going to people who just spent $10 in the PSN store last night.

I've never had Playstation Plus, and I've only spent 40 dollars total on PSN games.

Since I've fallen to the darker side of digital distribution Smiley: glare, I feel I should tell you that all Battlefield games are 75% off on the Origin Store. BF3 Premium Edition, which is the game and all DLC is $40.

***** you console losers. Amazon's "Farewell to February" sale is live.

I'm not actually going to look through all those titles for highlights right now. I will say that entering CAGROCKS as a coupon will knock 25% off an item. One time use only.

The AAA to B+ titles are on the first 6 pages, everything after it is shovelware.

XCOM for $27 is tempting, but the game does seem to be declining in price quite steadily. Still debating....

Fuck it, buying.

When debating to buy a game, I simply remember my long list of backlog games and realize that even if I moved it up on my list, by the time I'd get around to playing it, the game will be cheaper anyway.

This only doesn't work when a game has already hit rock bottom pricing.
