Steam has changed the rules for trading game gifts. Now if you purchase a gift as an inventory item, you must wait 30 days before trading it. You can still redeem the gift or send it as a gift to someone. But you can't trade it through the trade system for 30 days.

Not so much for me. More new stuff is coming out region locked, especially on Steam, so there's less cross-region trading deals to be had these days.

Last year they had the "Prices for fall sale will be same as for winter sale" memo so there was no sense in waiting. I haven't heard the same this year but I wouldn't be surprised if something at 66% off this weekend is still 66% off come Christmas.

In celebration of the opening of the Indie Gala store, Indie Gala had Wasteland 2 up for 50% off (highest discount so far). Odd thing was it did not include the extras that Steam version and other sellers like GMG did. No Wateland copy or soundtrack.

Inquiring to the developer/publisher (indie title) revealed that Indie Gala was not a partnered reseller and they do not know where they got the keys nor did they approve the sale at that level. They asked IG to remove the sale, which they did about 12 hours before scheduled time. And are looking into where the keys came from.

First time I've seen Something like this on IG.

Titanfall is $5 at Origin in case for some reason you wanted to play Titanfall.
