Never played it either but, from what I've heard, if you liked Gothic & Gothic II you should enjoy it. Biggest gripes I saw about it previously were all DRM related. Combat takes a bit of getting used to.

I played it a while back and liked it ok. Was pretty fun from what I remember. I think I even played it twice so I could ally with the opposing factions to see the other side of the story. ( *Ha just checked my play time on steam and I had 79 hours into this game)
Worth 6$ I'd say. But if you buy it and hate it, don't blame me. ;) The combat can be challenging and is action oriented.

sweet, i'm in. worth $6 to me just to check out the art style, ui, and mechanics.
argh. whenever i equip something in my offhand, like a shield or torch, i'm unable to ever draw a weapon again.
