Sonic Generations is a must at that price, it's easily one of the best of the current gen Sonic games.

If it was on sale for the price on Xbox or PS3 Id probably pick it up. Personally though I enjoyed the first 3 sonic games after that it felt like the same ole crap to me. They just didn't mix them up enough like Nintendo has with Mario games.

Oh I did like Sonic CD and Sonic Adventure.

Every time they tried to mix it up they wound up digging the franchise's grave a foot deeper, see Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Unleashed. Generations proves that the classic formula works best if you only add minimal tweaks to the gameplay.

Bastion is supposed to be pretty damn good, so for five bucks, I'll give it a try.

It's a great game. The gameplay itself is solid. It seems simple, but the proving grounds make it very clear that there's a distinct line between smashing things and surviving and making full use of your tools. Really though, it's the narration, music, and story that make the game.

I got the achievement in Bastion to get an item from the pile and grabbed a 50% off coupon for any THQ game. I might end up using it for Saints Row the Third. That is, unless it goes on sale for a better deal than that between now and the end of the year.

I got that achievement too and all I got was 50% off any title from Meridian and none of them impress D:

I should add, however, that in order to get the achievement I had to start a new game. And since I had already played through once I got to start a new game+. Sooooo much fun ripping through the baddies in the Rippling Walls/Wharf District with fully upgraded hammer and bow :O I got to the part where the path starts falling away behind you and I was all like, "PEW! PEW! This ain't no gauntlet! It's a shooting gallery!"

Umm...ya. Just didn't want to sound like a negative nancy o.O

Do you get to pick the item from the pile or is it random?

Each one I got was a chunk of Coal or a Gift, open it and you get a random item (mine was 30% off a Valve game).

I just saw that the top prize was every game on Steam. That's just crazy (only one winner though).

By the way, that Beat Hazard Challenge should have been named ********** Your Ship" because those Xmas songs spawn an ungodly amount of the mini-fighters. It's almost impossible to clear enough so you have room to move on the screen.

I havent played Beat Hazard since it was released. Im amazed how much the game has changed and how much better it is.

i agree tho, that challenge is tough and its really hard listening to that christmas music.

eta: game buggged while I alt-tabbed to write this. music stopped, and my ship become powerless obv. then i died, and didnt respawn but the timer kept going. easiest achievement ever.

Is the Revenge of the Titans achievement ridiculously hard or do I just fail at that game?

I don't even know what it is. On the contest page all it says is "DRUNKEN FAMILY ARGUMENT - Hurrah! Christmas is finally over!" and there isn't any such achievement on the list.

Here is a site that lists all the upcoming achievements for this event and how to get them/tricks to get them.

The New Vegas deal is just plain ridiculous. You can buy the game and all DLC for about fifteen dollars. That's enough content to keep you playing for 150+ hours. I already own it for 360, but I'm tempted to buy it again just to get the two DLC I don't have. It would actually be cheaper than buying them from XBL.

Super Meat Boy is part of the current Humble Bundle, so if you're interested in the game, that's they better deal.

Apparently, the H.B. deal has ended. It's the strongest bundle yet, so you missed a great deal if you didn't buy it.

Current Humble Bundle deal is over. You'll have to get your SMB through Steam.
