I'm not sure, but I'm glad you were hearing it for the first time. It makes it that much more awesome.

Shameless plug, the song was written by Jonathan Coulton, who is freaking awesome (if you're a total nerd). I highly suggest looking him up Smiley: grin

Wish I could get to the end...I'm stuck.

Testchamber 11 [PT.03.13]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Create a portal and wait until the device shoots one where you can exit. Press
the button to open a timed door. Shoot a portal in this room, then wait until
the device creates an orange portal near you. Enter it.

Create a new portal where the ball would hit the wall and wait until the lift
is activated. Then step on the lift using a portal and grab the device. From
now on you can use both color portals using the left and right mouse button.

Press the button and create a portal behind the door. Then create one at the
end of the lift and enter it.

I'm stuck somewhere in Portal 2 but, alas, the puzzles aren't so neatly numbered. Every couple of days I spend a half hour trying to noodle it out and then give up.

Describe the puzzle at least.

WTF are you spoiling?

Anywho, I can't think of a decent way to describe it ("So.. uhh.. there's these panels and these orange/blue/white goo things and, uh, some grates and...") but I'll grab a couple screen shots next time I play. I think it was shortly after the puzzle where you have to take a giant flying leap through a pillar, fly out the other side and hit the exit. In the ruined Cave Johnson era Aperature labs section but after the actual Cave Johnson portion when you're working your way out.

Maybe I could be wrong becuase there was one puzzle I got caught on late in the game but the save file should have the puzzle number. I swear thats how I looked up the youtube video of it. But that might be a pc thing only.

Clearly you don't click on enough links. For awhile there you couldn't go three threads in the OoT without someone linking it. Also, weren't you at least a bit curious as to why exactly the cake was a lie?

Is it the part where after you flip a switch some pipes burst spilling goo? If so there is a broken gate pathway above the pipes. You have to get up there and jump across the gap using blue goo on the ground. Run through the smashers and you should see a spot to shoot your portal on the other side. Use the orange slime to get a good run towards the wall and pop the other portal and you should make the jump.. If not I will need screen shots to help. Smiley: tongue

Is it the part where you have to use the thing to flip the switch and then jump into the stuff before grabbing the thing?

I don't click many links at all in here, honestly. You never know where you'll end up, and I'm usually at work when I post.

Also, as for the cake is a lie, I have no idea where most of the memes come from in here. I assumed it was just another one of those. Smiley: lol

I was excited when I figured it out, though. Smiley: grin

ETA: Also, I just purchased and downloaded Portal 2 last night. I haven't started it yet, though.

Obvious solutions and all that. I didn't even watch the video past that point; once I shot that one portal, I'm back to flying through the tests. Funny how that works.

I found Portal 2 to be easier than Portal 1 because I was already thinking with portals when I started the second.

Portal 2 was a lot more limited in where you could place portals, which resulted in many puzzles being fairly straight forward.

if you want another game with transcendent music, add bastion to your list. it's heavily influenced by both kinds of music (country and western) but man oh man, when that chick starts singing too...

So I find my self stuck, and not knowing exactly what level it is I don't know how to find a solution.
So I will describe the best I can. It is in chapter 8 (The Itch) and when you start in the puzzle room Wheatley does an evil laugh. In the room is a Blue Tractor beam, some blue gel, and 3 lazer gun things, a switch to turn the blue beam into a red one, and a button I have not been able to reach due to the Gunners (there is a glass wall to stop them pwning me).
