Create a portal and wait until the device shoots one where you can exit. Press
the button to open a timed door. Shoot a portal in this room, then wait until
the device creates an orange portal near you. Enter it.

Create a new portal where the ball would hit the wall and wait until the lift
is activated. Then step on the lift using a portal and grab the device. From
now on you can use both color portals using the left and right mouse button.

Press the button and create a portal behind the door. Then create one at the
end of the lift and enter it.

Maybe I could be wrong becuase there was one puzzle I got caught on late in the game but the save file should have the puzzle number. I swear thats how I looked up the youtube video of it. But that might be a pc thing only.

I don't click many links at all in here, honestly. You never know where you'll end up, and I'm usually at work when I post.

Also, as for the cake is a lie, I have no idea where most of the memes come from in here. I assumed it was just another one of those.

I was excited when I figured it out, though.

ETA: Also, I just purchased and downloaded Portal 2 last night. I haven't started it yet, though.

As did I, waiting for it to start getting harder XD (I think I made it to 11/22 this morning).

Portal 2 was a lot more limited in where you could place portals, which resulted in many puzzles being fairly straight forward.

So I find my self stuck, and not knowing exactly what level it is I don't know how to find a solution.
So I will describe the best I can. It is in chapter 8 (The Itch) and when you start in the puzzle room Wheatley does an evil laugh. In the room is a Blue Tractor beam, some blue gel, and 3 lazer gun things, a switch to turn the blue beam into a red one, and a button I have not been able to reach due to the Gunners (there is a glass wall to stop them pwning me).
