I have been grinding a structures trader and find that the experience is rediculously slow.I have found several crafting macro's but none of them work. I know there are macros that work, entertainers can still use them. I dont mind the normal grind so much but sometimes my internet speed slows depending on how busy the server is and it makes the process twice as slow. I have been grinding for a total of about 10 hours now and havent got halfway thru the first tier of experience. Now that the xp needed is up to 10k per level and climbing, at 51 points per attempt it will take me forever. Can someone post a macro that works as of todays date or send one to Tommee on lowca server. Any help will be appreciated.

Firstly, you should check back through the previous topics as I have posted this macro about 5 times in the last month and a half for crafting threads.

However, you have caught me in a good mood so here it is once more. I have cut and paste from a previous thread.

I have tried several different things but find this grinds fastest. Use your generic crafting tool to make yourself 4 structure crafting tools. You want to grind Personal Moisture Evaporators. They will give you just over 500 xp each. They use up a lot of resources. Aluminium, ore, steel being the main ones but you can also use some iron and copper if you are low on the others. This schematic does not require anything else except the resources. Set up a macro like the one below. I have posted this before so what I paste below has been cut and pasted from another entry. This macro does work. I was using it up until server down tonight. As you are doing structures, when you can, use Gungan head statues to grind. They use masses of ore but give you the most xp. Get your harvestors out digging up all the ore you can get. You'll need it!

Make sure that you have 4 crafting tools in the first 4 slots of your toolbar. Make sure that you name the macro 'Grind'.

You may have to play with the pause times depending on lag and on the crafting time for the item.

Before you start grinding, use the 4th tool in your toolbar to make one of what you are going to grind. This will then make the item your 'default item' for the session. Then type '/macro grind' and your going. An important tip is to just have the ingredients that you need for grinding in your inventory as the macro doesn't give you a lot of time to search through a multitude of ingredients.

Agrilok, i have tried your macro. It does not work for me. I have checked, rechecked, and checked again, and it has no mistakes. It just does not work. I am not new to crafting. i have a pre NGE shipwright and used a crafting macro then. The problem is, the crafting tools do not open using your macro, i just get the message "crafting session has ended" repeatedly as there are several tools trying to work. I dont understand the problem, but it may work for you being on a differnt server, or it may not work at all.The macro as listed above does not work for me.

I had the same problem when I first started using this macro. I cannot remember how I corrected it though. This is the final draft of the macro which I now use quite effectively.

I have one suggestion. Make sure that you have the four crafting tools in the first 4 slots of toolbar #1. Then try it. That may make a difference in the slot numbers.

Other than that all I can suggest is for you to play around with it. As I said, it does work for me on Kauri galaxy. It has got an extra step in it when compared to pre-nge crafting macros. You could possibly try taking out one of the /nextcraftingstage steps. That may work.

i think the reason this macro probably doesnt work, is because it is a pre-nge macro, the slots probably is undefined, or at least, needs a different identifier, it may be that you'll just have to do it the oooold fashioned way, besides, a crafting macro for structures, seems a bit of an overkill, as if it wasnt easy enough already..

All I can say is that I was using this macro 30 minutes ago and it was working fine.

After grinding one trader the old fashioned way, I took the advice from friends and info from the forums and ground another crafter on a different server from beginning trader to master crafter in 6 hours without a macro. I have to confess, My pre-NGE crafter took 2 weeks using a macro and crafting a couple hours a day. I will be posting a crafting guide soon ( If I can figure out how ). Thanks to those that offered help.

I just started playing again 2 weeks ago after being away for a couple years and was also having trouble getting my Macro's to run. I had read everything I could get my hands on, tinkered with them until I was about to quit again.LOL I stumbled on this by accident, try and see if this works for you..... Set your macro up just how Agrilok says. Then hit the button to start your macro. If it does not start, CLICK YOUR CURSOR INTO THE CHATBOX and SHAZAM! I currently have an entertainer running on a macro and I have to click the chatbox everytime I start the macro. Hope this helps :)
