Im a huge swg fan, i joined about 6 months in after i built my computer. I played up until the CU and didnt like change so I quit for a month...I then realized one night at about 2 in the morning that I needed a fix of starwars I reinstalled it, downloaded the patches, and was playing a day later. I loved it after I got use to it...I got away with the stacked defense of TKM/MFencer/MSwords. Then i was on my way to jedi with my swordsman doctor and thats when the NGE came out. I quit again for a month and realized I needed a fix for swg. So I reinstalled and got the patches started playing again. I got use to it but I didnt like it as much as I use to....but I thought "hey its star wars." A month after the NGE i quit. Now i'm back telling my story because of a recent event which I will now explain....

....I was at my neighbors house a week back and he asked what I do all day, I tell him i fix computers and play counter strike and some mmo's. He had then asked me if I had heard of star wars galaxies and I told him I was obsessed with that game. He asked me if I had quit because of SOE or if I got bored and I had told him SOE....

....He then told me that about 2 weeks back he recieved a call from some representative at Bioware, who has been affiliated with LucasArts before with Republic Commando....

....He then told me what the conversation was about, the Bioware guy had said....

....."We have recieved a list of current and past people associated with the construction and maintenance of SWG and came across your name"....

......This is where i learned that my neighbor had been a developer or had some relation to swg.....

....."We have been calling former associates of SWG and asking them !IF! another Star Wars Franchise game came to be, would there be a chance that you would like to be involved?".......

.......My neighbor said no because he recently recieved a job at Hutchinson Technology in Eau Claire, Wisconsin........

Now I have read through the last 20 pages of posts on this website concerning the future of SWG and have learned not to believe what anyone says. I hate getting my hopes up.....but I <3 SWG TOO MUCH....

Theres no way in guaranteeing my neighbor was involved in the creation/maintenance of SWG....I myself have doubts....but unless he reads forums everyday and understands everything that is going on....his story sounds believeable!

I'll believe it when I see the official announcement...........

And then probably break something trying to sign up as quick as I can.

so much smoke, from so many different places, but still no sign of any fire.

the rumour mill is always churning something or other, most of it is just wishful thinking. im very much afraid that swg is gone for good, which is a shame, because it was the most original game i'd ever played. and i guess we're unlikely to see anything like it ever again :(

If I had a dime for every time someone's "friend" or a "friend of the first "friend" work for SOE, LA, or Bioware.......
