Ranger path adviceFollow

I know before class balancing, the proc path was better than bow path for the most part, however, I heard the bow path got a major buff recently... I want to specialise in melee combat with my ranger... but is the bow path really that much better than proc? People I was grouped with today claimed it was.

also a question about stats... so far I've put all TPs into STR and DEX, I'm trying o decide where to put the rest, I plan on going bravo, so I know i'm going to need sta and agi, but besides that, anything else? I read on the ranger board that its a good idea to raise INT, because of proc dmg...

thanks in advance for any help

also, I'm posting here and not the ranger board because this board is alot more popular.

Yes the bow path is pretty sweet, you get a spell similiar to taxophile (level 1 spell)which drops your power pool but gives you extreme PoT. I believe at 49 the bow path gives 1000 ish power but 500 pot. So you can really just focus on using the bow.

However IMO bow path really shines at end game raids. Getting close to most raid mobs is really a problem, and proc paths need to do so to really shine. Bow paths can pretty much sit back and shoot without worrying about AoE.

HeyLaw, jsut follow the advice i gave in the ranger section, i did my homework on that so its safe lol.

And myself, i personally like Bow path when im soloing and in raids, and Proc path when i wanna Duel and be a great DD in a regualr grind, plus Proc i think is more useful at lower LvLs then i think at a higher LvL, in like raids and sh*t.

Bow path is awsome. I like to duel on my Shaman whos level 36. I decided to duel a 34 Ranger. He was bow path, so I thought it would be easy. He took me out and he still had 1/2 his life, and he didnt even try to kite me. Then I had dueled a 36 Ranger blade path, and I took him out without a problem. So you can still duel with Bow Path and it can help you out a lot.

First, the Ran tho a lower LvL than you prob had a **** load more CMS than you and he was prob made to duel.and the other ran you dueled prob had alot less CMS and didnt have the build of a dueler, like on my wizzy -50- i have NEVER LOST to a ran no matter what the path or build said ran was, ran are nothing against magic or a wizzy made to duel lol. so you cant go by what you dueled for there builds could have been way off. but all in all thanks for the input lol.

And i never said you cant duel with bow, but as i said i like to use proc with duels and bow with raids and soloing. both are very very good paths lol.

Which Id like to add to a duel built wizzy can get in excess of 6k hitpoints in under 975 cms and still manage to get a tag. I did it on shots the other day when i was messing around with build. factor in someone with 1200 cms going sage with 6k hps possibly more if they have a form. Wizzies built to duel, with a sage tag pwn.
