"old, and i mean really old"

It doesn't make it any less true. I myself had not read this article and I'm glad the OP put this link up even if its old. Yes I was aware of SOE's horrible ethics, but not to what extent. Imagine that? If we are to believe the author of that article, 40% of the content in the expansions on EQ unplayable??? I don't care which way you see it, that DOES call for a law suit. Yes I am VERY aware of their stupid "Game may change during play time" excuse. But that ONLY applies to a FINISHED product, if the author is to be believed, then they should be sued for purposely selling an unfinished product to its costumers and purposely lieing to its customers in order to rake in revenue. I am also very aware that all SOE cares for is the bottomline, money. Having worked in many credit and customer service departments at my current job, I understand this very well considering my managers remind me of this, HOWEVER, they are also VERY aware of what can happen should they decide to pruposely lie to a customer in order to gain money and not bother to fix the problem, we hear them all too "We will contact the BBB" etc. Fortunately, we don't get NEARLY as many problems as my previous job and from the looks of it, nowhere near as SOE does. Guess it takes a medium sized family owned business to compare to the ethics of a conglomerate such as SOE heh

definitely very old, we were talking about this like, 50 years ago or something.

ok im exaggerating but i know it was several months ago.

has to be said though, that the bad news surrounding SOE about the NGE/SWG that is, is not going away, on the official boards they even posted part of Smedleys blog, where he was complaining about hands being tied by the IP's of some of the games they had, saying basically that dc comics were the only ones who werent doing so, which seemed to be a bit of a dig at Lucas Arts, blaming them for the NGE, not that it matters all that much now. but i would like to think it is true, if only because the NGE was such a rubbish implementation, that i can't think that a company like SOE would be stupid enough to implement it, unless it was forced on them.

but with all the lies and spin etc, coming from SOE, its pretty difficult sometimes to pick out the truth.

I heard the NGE was originally thought up for just one planet/area a sole PvP area and when they took the idea to LA they said make it so but make it so on every planet hence we got the NGE

That seems a little impractical, running two different systems in the same game.
