crafting expFollow

#1 Jul 25 2006 at 3:44 PM Rating: Decent
I just created a trader (munittions) and well, did some quests in tansarii point station and made it to a bit more than 1/4 of the first stage. Then I arrived in Mos Eisly and did some quests for gerndra. I started to repeat, and repeat and repeat a quest with gendra that gave me 400 exp. and made it to half of the stage.
Is there ANY other thing I can do to get crafting exp.? Macros are not working very good (I think I can't make them work) and artisan mission terminals give no real exp.
Any idea?

you can reapet that quest?

no i dont think theres any, i was sitting there grinding tools, then quit when i realised i would have to go through the entire first wheel thing before i got to craft anything new

To repeat the quest ask him about terminals, then ask 'who else can I talk to', 'that's not what I mean', 'I'm a Crafter', and 'I'd love to get some work'
He will tell you to make 5 meat jerkys each time
you'll earn 400 exp. and 100 creds -.-

The best way to grind is the good old fashioned way. This is what I have used recently.

Make generic crafting tools (make sure you use practice only!) until you are high enough to make a personal moisture evaporator. Then start making that over and over. This will get you well into the third ring reasonably painless.

I do have a macro that is working. I am at work and don't have access to it atm but will try to copy it in later for you.

Look under "Game Guides: Crafting: Yzorderrex's crafting macro". Follow the instructions exactly and you will be able to grind away!

I had the exact same problem with that macro. It has too many steps in it and cancels itself out. Also, I think this was the one that said to do it in space. You don't need to, it will work on the ground.

this happens to me when im in the ground; the 'nextcraftingstage' thing doesnt works

As promised, here is my crafting macro that works for me. This one works on the ground. Make sure that you have 4 crafting tools in the first 4 slots of your toolbar. Make sure that you name the macro 'Grind'.

You may have to play with the pause times depending on lag and on the crafting time for the item.

Before you start grinding, use the 4th tool in your toolbar to make one of what you are going to grind. This will then make the item your 'default item' for the session. Then type '/macro grind' and your going. An important tip is to just have the ingredients that you need for grinding in your inventory as the macro doesn't give you a lot of time to search through a multitude of ingredients.
