ok, i get it. and emu is a funny looking bird and it is on SWG. but i also figured out that SWGEmu is Starwars Galaxies Emulator and is basicly like pre cu SWG but is privetly run home made servers.

Actually, it's progressed pretty nicely this summer. Type in swgemu.com into your browser and see for yourself, cuz the site's set up to redirect people who click on hyperlinks to other random websites. That way, you can make up your own mind about it and decide for yourself if people like Cloudancer are just whiny, sour-grapes NGE fanbois. VERY IMPORTANT: READ THE ON-SITE FAQs THOROUGHLY BEFORE MAKING A POST THERE, because the devs do NOT like people wasting bandwidth on questions already answered a jillion times before.

to be honest.. being called an nge fanboi.. was i thought, really funny.

i was overly harsh on the subject of the people who are trying to create a swg emulator though, its not that im against them, i would actually like to see a swg emulator that worked, its just that i do not think it will be realisable within the next few years, programming takes time and games are normally created by teams of programmers from what i've read, so, i dont see how a bunch of bedroom programmers could possibly do it, i dont know if you've read about braben and elite etc. they did it in their garage for years apparently, and that was just something simple like elite. ok, the hardware then was different and i can only imagine what kinds of other things are available to programmers, so all i see the emulators being, is another form of protest against SOE, and probably as futile as the petition - which i and thousands of others signed.

i still read the official forums, its funny really, because nobody who posts on the official forums seems to like the game. and yet their the ones still paying. people, are weird arent they.
