On a side note; do any of the old duelers still play on DH?
Probably not, though I'm sure there's new ones to take their place.
Yeah I've played WoW, enough already to where I quit it more then once. But I wasn't addicted to it or nothing like eq, it was more like just play for fun deal, hence me only achieving a few 60s (which in wow is much easier then in EQ). My 60 Paladin was built for PVP and was practically undefeated, same with my Shaman and Druid though haha. And my warlock, though built to raid was also great in pvp/dueling but hell, warlocks are incredible in that game.
I found WoW's community, the majority of it, just a bunch of selfish kids that had some real life money to spend on a video game where you can level fast and not lose anything by dying. So basically a bunch of lil bastards. But that's what WoW was made for, and is the majority of gamers nowadays.
Though at the same time I did build up a lot of good relationships while playing in that game and my characters were well known on the servers I played on. So I can't say it was all that bad at all really. I've seen much worse in other MMO's.
The game really was built on hours played though, the better gear, higher rank, more kills, more time spent on your character, the better your character was. Most of the time atleast, which is why you are right, it didn't really on personal skill that much making wow not that fun for me aswell. But I was still much better then the average player I found haha. It's like that with every game though so doesn't surprise me, especially in wow's immature community.
